Ah jesus, they are thinking about stuff in completely the wrong way.

Air spider mine? Really? Keeping in the mass recall from nexus if you make a mistake... wow. The nexus recall one is ridiculous imo.

Exactly! Instead of just half baking those good ideas so they're "different", just take the good ideas! They're good!

Meh, hope they still have some tricks up their sleeves, because I was looking so much forward to mech being an option vs P. This was really boring news for P and T!

"We are also experimenting with an extremely long-ranged terran missile launcher that can be used to break siege tank lines to make terran-vs.-terran factory-based games more dynamic."

Isn't this just what nukes are, anyway?

Nukes are not "extremely long range."

Wow, almost precisely as expected.
Shredder was always going to be overpowered.

Surprised about the Goliath, I epected that one to stay.
I didn't expect the replicant to be quite such an issue due to high cost, but lots of people had issues with it.

Keeping the overseer was ALWAYS going to happen, I spent too much time typing about how dumb the zerg detection change was.

I always expected the vast majority to be seriously changed, with only one or two ideas making it through close to unchanged. Nice to see that Blizzard have somewhat come to their senses and made at least some changes which were ALWAYS going to be REQUIRED, because the Blizzcon ideas were pretty ridiculous.

You dun goufed?

Nukes can land ANYWHERE, as long as the Ghost is aiming with the laser.

Look, Forcefielding EVERY zerg unit wasn't enough. When protoss ran out of FF, their forces were potentially exposed, if there was any zerg army left.
Now it will be fine, they can make mass sentries, forcefield, then recall back home and be 100% unscathed with no worries.
Gonna make for awesome games.
HOLY CHECK!

Back to the drawing board for the development team, guess HoTS will be delayed significantly.

Agreed. Blizzard, stop trying to implement ideas that are new for the sake of being new. These new units are for the most part godawful and people I think would really enjoy having some of the old units/abilities back from BW, maybe modified or changed slightly. Mothership is and will never be the replacement for arbiters, those should have been in the game or even coming in HotS. Tempest shouldn't even be a consideration, do SOMETHING to carriers to make them more viable, did they just add them out of obligation to SC1 fans? Give the viper the consume ability and remove the absolutely retarded grab hook move that is stolen right out of MOBAs, as well as another ability perhaps.

And thats why they aren't extremly long-ranged

Makes me believe they don't really have players on the development team. I mean they already have ghosts for nukes to make people move siege lines. It would also be a bit weird if the turret was indirect fire and make the game feel less "starcrafty". It would probably be built defensively against tank pushes making the game even more gridlocked.

Remember in red alert, those V8(or whatever) missile launchers? They were trucks with a huge missile on them. I instantly thought of those -.-

Well. Looks like we're basically going to get WOL with a couple things added in then. Couldn't they basically just release this in a patch? It annoys me so much that they are barely changing the core or basic units, I know it would be hard to redo the game but surely that is what they should be doing, its a whole new game. Looking forward to the recall and the long range air (even though that was basically carriers they're just too slow) but really, they fixed mass-muta vs P? Don't think so, no-one in professional games uses anion crystals seriously.

this recall thing will only work with a very large cooldown, like 5(ingame) minutes at least across all nexi.

I can't believe they refuse to acknowledge that the colossus is a shitty unit and needs to be just removed from the game.
I haven't made a single colossus in almost a year now that's how much I hate that fucking unit.

Honestly I think the guys who want to play BW should play BW.

I also think a company should be able to have good ideas for a game with years of developing time.

Uh... interesting I guess. I thing they need to give zerg some real midgame fire power and make Ultras useful. I think the Viper abduct ability will make the Colossus much less of a threat without strong AA, but the Tempest might screw all of that up if it can just sit in the back and murder everything. Also, Nexus recall? Protoss has a flexible ground army. Stalkers can run away from anything and Sentries can usually forcefield their way to safety. Where are the units that have to commit to a fight? Like Hydras and Broodlords and slow Roaches, Ultras etc. Zerg has like 2 units that can run away from a fight... isn't it suposed to be the other way around?
If all you're offering is Dos Equis, I will stay thirsty thank you very much.
