Someone from Slayers said this guy has repeatedly been doing things like this on Slayers' streaming chat, so Jessica lost her cool; finally sued him today morning. When you are repeatedly making obscene sexual comments on the internet towards an individual, this isn't trolling anymore...it's called harassment. It is important to differentiate between the two. This was not someone just merely trolling, this was someone who was repeatedly harassing someone, and thinking that they could get away with it because of the anonymity of the internet. | ||

I wonder how many lawsuits would occur if other countries were to start asking everyone for their IDs before being able to create an account on any website. | ||

Laws aren't meant to protect people who clearly do not need protecting. Good for you that you can handle it, I say that without sarcasm. Some people can't. Some people commit suicide over it. The fact of the matter is that people are hurt by these things, and that's all that's necessary to win a lawsuit or have someone issued a restraining order. Just because you don't think they have a good reason to be hurting isn't sufficient because lawsuits are based on damages. I'd also be willing to bet that if you were locked up in prison for a year and constantly berated, it'd "get" to you after awhile. Shit's all relative mate. All people should have the right to life comfortable lives without being constantly pestered or demeaned in daily activity. If you don't like that, then you're a terrible person. Period. | ||
