I believe it's time to start looking for a new line of work in a completely different industry. No e-sports event with any sense whatsoever will ever going to hire you again. It simply won't be worth it. The fact of the matter is, you offended a lot of people that will refuse to watch you, boycott any event you're associated with, and complain to sponsors and management about your involvement. You may also want to think about changing your name (your REAL name). Your racist comments and reputation will follow you forever, as a simple Google search will always turn up results based on this incident. Good luck trying to find another job. I don't think you're truly a racist person, so it sucks that you're going to forever be made an example of why NOT to casually drop n-bombs in public...or say that word at all. There certainly could be other, far more hateful people, that deserve punishment more than you. However, I'm glad that this incident will likely teach people that using the n-word is NOT okay, and there are repercussions to saying it. Thanks buddy...now go slink away and disappear forever.

Really, people get fucked over because they used a word that may or may not have negative implications? What the hell?! While not even remotely expressing racist/xenophobe feelings? Wow ... Anyway, hf with your speech police planet, I heard soon words will kill people. FYI I do understand what hate speech is but there's a huge difference. And in the beginning that was the reason for the PC mania, but morons apparently don't like to think too much about thought and context and meaning so everything's banned. I heard there's no more neo-nazi groups, or KKK, forbid hate words but do little against actual hate. Oh joy! Figures, when you get sheeple to lead. I think some people forget they have a brain to use to think about more than the surface, and balls to make actual decisions instead of simply form, with no effect on the theoretically intended target.

I think you mistook the teamliquid forums for an application for a Shakespeare troupe. It's an easy mistake to make, though, good luck with your auditions!

You don't know orb is black or not unless you actually see him. Because of that very obvious fact with trolls and bm everywhere racial slurs simply don't have any weight. I feel like this is obvious to anyone who has been on the Internet for any period of time. So welcome. And the kid just lost his fucking job over it so don't act like you're the sensitive one. Hold on here, online SHOULD not matter when deciding if you're going to use a racial slur or not. That's just being a pussy. BUT i admit that saying something to someones face is a different story, definitely has more impact and is thus more offensive by nature. I think that just the fact that everyone is making a big deal about it is positive and shows sensitivity. I would absolutely lose my job as well if I talked the way he did at work as is the case with the majority of jobs in 1st world countries i'm sure. I feel absolutely no pity for orb whatsoever for losing his over what EG considered to be offensive language of a very "politicaly incorrect" nature. This should not be a surprise.

though i wanna ask one question, and please im sorry and correct me if im wrong, but why does Idra get a special ttreatment? its not like he has been the nicest player, nor is he still, the nicest player. then again he is some sort of an *icon* for EG. so my question is: what punishment is idra going to get for his bad manners, and words that he said in old games. i mean if your going to tr eat 1 person that way, treat your whole team that way. seems the most fairest to me. also i apologize for my english language, but im doing my best.

I find the judgemental attitude of this thread beyond the pale. It's so easy to throw rocks at someone while their down as if everyone posting to this thread has never screwed up. And the rank hypocracy behind EG's rational for their decision to fire Orb, and the subsequent "holier than thou" rational to make this thing as public as they made it -- while one of their own players throws homosexual epethats like drinking water -- is astounding. EG showed no courage or any integrity in how this was handled. This was all PR and making EG look like the good guy protecting ESports which is balogny. The couragous thing would have been to stick up for their employee, have him make a public on air apology and move on with the matter. EG behaved like corperate cowards. There was no protecting ESports in this decision, just protecting EG and the financial interests of EG -- which they're certainley entitled to do -- but it's not courage or honarable behaviour.

IDK about Blizzard but I'm sure that Interpol are working on the case as we speak. It's funny how 1 word can make you a racist in some people's eyes... And it's even funnier how many of them are out there.

IMHO Mr Sklarew has a fitting personality for being a caster in the way he is emotional, and how he is in contact with the community. Also I've found it awesome that he sometimes streams ladder games with more leisure attitude, and goes even more emotional. Yup, that ranting has been entertaining, I found it very similar to some forms of comedy in TV. Wish that more sc2 professionals would sometimes do unofficial stuff like that. With his skills, attitude and personality, I have no doubt that Orb will continue to be an important character in SC2 scene. Which is just great for us all!

A screenshot wouldn't help, a replay might work well with sc2gears, but the burden of proof isn't on the accused. Instead of proving he did say that recently people went through every single replay and vod around looking for another instance...which proved nothing about this particular instance. Mob logic, everyone is always guilty and nobody can ever be innocent.
