Gotta love the Witch-hunt mentality the SC2 community has <3
Seriously, any other community wouldnt give a sh** about it but the SC2 dudes create massive topics and seemingly have enough time to dig around in a ton of replays, write emails to sponsors (I mean wtf, write at least to the team first) and be like small inquisitors =)
From my POV, thats just poor and really annoys me about SC2 and I have been called a nazi often enough due to whatever reasons, cause I am german and even played better, but hey, it is the internet, I dont give a damn :D
Keep it up orb! Everybody made mistakes and seriously, in 2weeks no one will brag about it anymore just like so many other witch-hunts before

I don't know anything about the vod, but he claims that he taught the person using his account and that's why they use the same hotkeys.
Personally I think that it seems fairly unlikely that some friend of orb's shows up using his account playing his exact race, using his exact hotkey setup, and using the same kind of stupid BM that he used a year ago, but it's not outside the realm of possibility.

I never dreamed when I was BMing that I would one day represent EG (as all of this offensive BM was from before I had joined EG), but this obviously does not excuse me.
The most important thing to take from this whole post.
What you do today, can effect you tomorrow.
Orb acted on impulse, and didn't think about any future ramifications. That doesn't make him a bad person, that makes him human. But in the business world (which I'm sure he wasn't even thinking about) likes as little waves being made. Especially when it comes to sponsorships. But try to stop and think about what you are saying/doing before you act. This is good advice for everyone, including myself.

I've heard people mention the proof, but not once did i actually see it materialize. Even a set of reps and some work in sc2gears would help put this to rest one way or another. It boggles my mind that something posted on the internet can be considered "lost" I've never had that happen before in my experience online, once it's up there someone is bound to have it.

I am actually really surprised things went down this way. Having seen some of the shit that is said in the fighting, halo, WoW, and LoL communities this seems pretty tame.

Seems like an awful lot of fuss, considering how frequent it is that people BM others, be it with racial slur or other stuff. SC2 really does suck in this regard, so many people get so upset and blame their opponent for their own failures.

Don't give me this crap, words have an associated meaning with them that we all know and understand, and you know it. We all know what the word means, and it doesn't matter what you meant to say or what the context is. Either you intended to be offensive and rude when you said it, or you're just incompetent at communicating because you said something that most other people interpreted differently because it has a completely different meaning than how you used it. It doesn't matter which, you failed when you decided to use a word with that much hate and bigotry associated with it.

Admittedly it's a bit offtopic, but I remember when Jinro said something along the lines of "ohh I fucked up" in GSL at his peak. Everyone went "oooooooo he just said fuck". Words have the meaning you put in them, there Jinro obviously just used 'fuck' in the same way as he would use 'messed up' or similar. I don't know the true meaning orb was trying to put into the word when he used it, but you can't really say that all words have the same meaning and that a person saying 'nigger' is always conveying the same message through the word.

Raging on ladder is no big deal, but lying about it, claiming your friend used the account, then throwing Kawaiirice, Destiny and Spade under the bus in the initial "apology" was just low class, i think that's why people are so mad. If he owned up earlier like this, everything would have been alright.
