You are managing to kick people that do stuff in our community because of small and stupid mistakes and in the meanwhile others are tolerated with much worse "events"..
GG hope you are proud of it because i see way worse attitudes by professional sports players, politics, actors, musicians and public figuras and they never get haxed like this, i'm talking about:
Guns, fights, drug abuse, Drinking and driving, racism, cheating on husbands/wifes, stealing, dealing, lying, murder, etc.. and people never ever get banned for life like guys are in the eSport community.. Its kind of sick how many people are trying to justify what he did. You do know that word has been historically assigned to ONE particular race right? Next time someone, anyone, pisses you off in real life look them dead in the eye and say "dumb nigger" and see how they react. Then do it again. And again. And again. Do you think people would see you as racist/racially insensitive or just immature? But i guess because its online and he cant actually see who he is insulting we should just forget it happened.
I seen Catholics use the word Catholic as deragatory and Jews use Jew as derogatory. Yes, online matters because you can't see the other person. You don't know orb is black or not unless you actually see him. Because of that very obvious fact with trolls and bm everywhere racial slurs simply don't have any weight. I feel like this is obvious to anyone who has been on the Internet for any period of time. So welcome.

I feel like if he would've apologized about this and maybe mentioned that he did indeed rage in the past, and was attempting to fix it. This would have all gone over way better. Instead he lashed out at anyone who criticized him. I feel bad and I personally don't think he deserved to lose the job.. But what other option did EG have with the community this "upset" about the situation?

Hang in there Orb. The States are a brutal place when making mistakes like that. Had this been a european company I think you would still be casting.
If anyone watches soccer and you know the stories about Luis Suarez, Paolo Di Canio and many others, you would know how far worse racist incidents are penalized.
Anyways, I think using the N-word on ladder is digusting, but you don't deserve to have your career destroyed when this did not happen on the job.

You may have discredited yourself because you are a public person orb, but you have done nothing majorly wrong.
Keep up what you're doing, people like it. EG has the right to fire you if they think you stepped over the line but as a fan I definately don't think you have. Everyone rages, everyone says things they regret. It's just silly to be this mad at someone for something so trivial.

When I used to watch orb's stream he was a raging, whiny kid (which was kinda funny) and I guess nothing has changed.
I am only surprised that EG hired him, like there are no better casters out there. Don't think they would do that if they actually watched his stream.

A fitting apology serving as a sad end for an sad occasion. I do not think this occasion, ie Orb getting fired, should make anyone more happy, but it was indeed still a neccessary temproary bad for the greater good of growing as a community, growing towards a mainstream where using such words is not acceptable in any form or way (or at least not in the way Orb used them).
I have always liked your casting Orb, so I hope you do not in fact give up your dreams to become a caster, everyone deserves a second chance, and even if this though of course is a great setback I do not think it is indeed a definitive setback as long as you decide to work on as before.

People make mistakes, you just need to learn from them. While I have no doubt in my mind that you have, I am sorry that it had to happen in such a way. I hope someone gives you another chance sooner than later, and I hope this does not deter you from making more content in the future.

Because Reddit has this addictive Karma thing in that everyone has to be a polemic philosopher or else they will not gather 100 karma points per day. It seems like you have to immediatly become a defender of human rights/political correctness. Opposite to that you have the trolls who play a game of "lets see how fast i can go down in Karma". Looks like EG made the right decision. Hopefully this will help orb think twice before he insults someones "nigger clan". As a white member of an NPHC organization I hear enough of this shit from racist people on campus, don't want to hear it from my "professional" SC2 casters.

From what I can tell, he made the situation for himself worse by trying to point fingers at other pro-gamers and dismissing it as a drunk incident, when according to many members of the community, his profane usage of such language was commonplace., even getting himself de-featured on TL once. He handled the situation really really poorly.

sorry arb after taking a good read of your edit and your original apology i dont feel any sincerity, the only reddit post you had that came close to an apology was obviously not sincere, all you did it was say "oh well it was late and i was drunk so sorry but you know its not that bad of a thing guys i mean lots of people use the word your blowing it out of porportion" which doesnt come close to a legit apology
