Unfortunately, there are some people here who have never played (or at least lost) to a frustrating cheese, and thus fail to judge him from the position he was in. This position should necessarily excuse orb for his actions, but they definitely should not totally condemn him either.

Alex Garfield needs to either stand where he says he's standing or he's being predigious himself by not following through with his words. IdrA doesnt call people extreme names thent ry to hide that he does it I'm not upset or anything. So don't take my posts the wrong way. Idra calling people "faggots" is extremely offensive. If Alex was gay I garentee that Idra would get the boot fast than you can spell applesauce. he already addressed idra. go read the other thread. A mild scolding and firing someone is hardly the same thing. captain obvious? alex doesnt consider idra/orb's conduct to be the same, so he doesn't treat them the same. I want to make absolutely clear that I am not a racist. The accusations against me could not be farther from the truth. The 'N word' was used in a replacable fashion, in that any other curse word would have held the exact same meaning for me. I understand now, however, that this doesn't hold true for all members of the community.
Im pretty sure your completely missing the point if you dont realize why its wrong to use a racial slur as a curse word. That being said no one can be held accountable for things we say on ladder.

I hope this doesn't keep you out of the scene. Moving on from the incident doesn't have to mean moving on from esports

No one actually thinks you're a racist for using such terminology.
Interesting to see this is the direction ESPORTS is headed in. I kinda like it. Kinda. Not sure. I think a severe warning would have been more appropriate, but I can understand.

I really do believe that if you made this post in the beginning instead of trying to cover up the situation and lying to your employer about what happened then all would still be good in the world. You even attacked another public figure in Total Biscuit when he called you out. I do feel sorry for you though. This will be a big lesson.

I think his apology is good, even if it was just from being caught. If he shows he's willing to learn from this mistake, he should have a chance to do so. People are often way too sensitive about "offensive" acts, especially considering that most people have said things they know they shouldn't say, and regretted them afterwards. An act is only offensive if someone takes offense to it. Of course, I'm not saying that racial slurs, or any derogatory remarks, are okay -- I really dislike labels in general -- but that's just the point. I'm almost forced to give some reassurance because of how sensitive people can be.

very well written. ive never heard of you before i saw the screenshots and really thought you are a bad person and never wanted to hear anything from you, but your apology shows me that you seem to be a well educated guy and as somebody has already said ladder brings the worst out of us!
you being kicked from EG is the correct lesson, someone sometimes has to learn. it hurts for you, but you know it is the correct way.
i hope you get a fresh new beginning. take a break, think about all of it and come back better than before

Then perhaps Idra deserves to be fired from EG too? I don't want that to happen personally, I'm just pointing out the inconsistency.
