if you've got >400 minerals and not enough infrastructure, placing another CC is a risky but effective solution - if it works. then with the CC he didn't have minerals to support reactor hellions, so he got tech lab. you can't exactly get extra queens, depots, pylons or gateways etc - because using 4-5 scv's to simultaneously build drops you even further behind in economy.

Pretty much sums it all up pretty much. I guess Katu did not think through why he would put down a third CC if he knew an all-in was coming. The thing that bugs me the most is the fact that he seems to revel in the fact that he acts like an asshole. Good on you Katu, I once liked you but if you are that keen to be the villain, then I will hate you.

He continued insisting people couldn't understand that he was just trolling dragon throughout the rest of the cast from what I heard. Honestly, it was blown way out of proportion but I think it happened because Katu didn't just immediately accept responsibility for saying something stupid. Had he immediately apologized sincerely for insulting Dragon all night and admitted to being serious (which he clearly was, since he had a lot of emotion in his voice when trashing Dragon). For some reason Katu just hates Dragon and he used his casting pedastal to take a shot at him. He messed up once big time when he was in Werra and was kicked because of it. Had Katu not said completely false info like he was kicked out of SlayerS, etc. it wouldn't be a big deal. He brought this upon himself cause he couldn't set his ego aside to admit he said something stupid. That said, if he ever comes out and admits he wasn't just "trolling", I see no reason why everyone else shouldn't accept his apology.

It was weird. He really just hurt himself though, I'm not mad at him. No damage done, other than to Katu himself. Dragon comes off looking extremely popular and with an invite to IPL4.... so huge win for him.

Then again I didn't see the point in revoking a code s spot from naniwa for probe rushing either, so maybe I just hold different values coming from the halo community.

Now I didn't watch all of it. just the first game on bel'shir beach (and like 5 min after that), but thats just a bit of trash talk going on. I mean if this was a major tournament I could see why this thread got 24 pages, but it's just a daily. Yes he kinda accussed him of stream cheating, but reading some of this thread makes it sound like he commited something really terrible. Yes it's unprofessional, and given how well mannered the starcraft community is I guess dragon deserves and apology from katu, but for people to ask for playhem to kick katu and for playhem to offer dragon sponsorship for ipl now, I don't know seems a bit to much for me. Then again I didn't see the point in revoking a code s spot from naniwa for probe rushing either, so maybe I just hold different values coming from the halo community. This sums up my mindset perfectly.

Who am I to question the Emperor's judgement especially regarding a person he knows while I do not. It's not like he's known for a lenient view on cheaters and unsportsmanlike behavior. When both Boxer and Cella defend someone's character, you should probably give them the benefit of the doubt ![]()

Some people might like the confidence, but it bugs me. Confidence is a positive trait, confidence which comes from being oblivious to others is the line where it isn't. Just my opinion. To his credit, he did apologize.

Was a tongue in the cheek comment. He already apologized for people offended. There is nothing more to it. People is being to sensitive. I think is a vocal minority that are being so outrageous by some light hearted trolling.

He (for whatever reason) is pissed off by Dragon (or was pissed off in that moment with Dragon), and he chose a public tournament stream to voice his opinions. Just suspend him for 2 weeks and be done with it, if he's stupid enough to do this kind of thing again he'll get what he deserves.

It's true, to Katu, he was doing 'light-hearted trolling', he wasn't intending to cause problems, but trolling when you're a faceless member of a forum and trolling when you're casting as a quasi-public figure are two very different things. As a public figure, you can't act exactly the same way as you do when you're joking around with friends. I personally don't think he's intentionally being malicious, but you need to adopt a certain professionality when you deal with 'the public'. Individuals might have different opinions, for example, that what he said was fine, but 'the public' has literally every opinion, and if you don't want to provoke an outrage, you can't act like he did. If you're representing an organization, you can't afford to provoke outrage directed at your organization, very very basic PR.
