While the community is a valuable resource, our input on things like this is worthless because we represent a small niche of the audience. Coupled with how ridiculously biased internet polls are, there's no way this'll benefit anyone at all...>_>

I think most people are more upset about the lag issues and the stream dropping during the finals. I missed about half of game 3 because of the stream drop which was pretty frustrating.

I chose not to, because I choose not to support the "buy Sundance a yacht" charity. E-sports isn't free. You think sundance is rolling around on a big pile of money after these events? You have to be kidding. Even major mainstream sports took decades in the spotlight to make the massive amounts of money they are known for today. All MLG is trying to do is make itself self-sufficient rather then relying 100% on sponsors for prizemoney knowing full-well that those sponsors sometimes take up to a year to pay up, leaving players who already live off much less then fast-food employees in the lurch. If e-sports is too grow it has to become able to pay out prizes on the day. And MLG is trying to put itself in a position to do that. Anyone accusing Sundance or MLG of greed are damn ignorant.

A standard Chrome installation with default settings played the streams just fine. You can hardly blame people for watching the streams when all they had to do was click on it. I'm sure they'll get a better paywall next time, although this was a lucky surprise for the community i'm sure MLG isn't that happy about it. I hope Sundance based his statement on the actual sales and not on the number of viewers ![]()

I would consider paying $10 next time. I probably would have bought this weekend if I had money to spare, but I'm still annoyed with the measly $5 gold discount and would have been further put off by the lag issues on the only day I actually wasn't working.
