I refuse to pay for something that should be free. Therefore, I didn't watch it regardless of whether or not I could have worked around and scammed. I chose not to, because I choose not to support the "buy Sundance a yacht" charity.

Didn't pay. Good thing too, because the "legitimate" streams were an embarrassment of heavy lag and games dropped from b.net.

1 drop from OZ, stream went down in 1 series. ye, it was embarrassing. w8... what?

I think you missed the part where the stream died in the middle of the finals and most of the rest of the games were a slide-show. I'm not the one that should be upset, you are.

You're a corporate shill, and its you that is killing esports by swallowing an inferior product and paying for it.

If by inferior product you are referring to the tournament that set the bar for production, then yes. Minus a few minor glitches lasting no more than 10 minutes over 80 hours of content, MLG > GSL > DreamHack > IPL > NASL.
I say what I want to say and do what I want to do. There's no in between. People will either love you for it or hate you for it.

I think most people who cheated it, logged into their friends twitch.tv account.

right.
Glad $20 is nothing for you, but in some countries $20 isnt as little a it is in Canada. In my case, I only wathced 3-4 games so thats hardly worth $20. Though if i were to watch the entire event I probably would have paid (price point still seems high to me).

Actually another reason I didnt want to pay is because I dont want to support MLG in this. If lots of people pay, they will turn PPV into a normal thing. Yeah, $20 for 1 event is not bad, but if this becomes a habbit it will get expensive. Besides other tourneys seems to be able to run events with free streams and not shut down, so I dont see why we should abandon that model.

havent we had like 10 of these threads this weekend? everything that can be said he could go in the broadcast feedback thread, if you post constructively maybe they can fix the problems before the next arena to entice you. spreading out feedback across tl just makes it harder for mlg to see it all

Didn't pay. Watched some of it from a restream.

I'd probably pay to watch if it were $10

I watched for free with the adblock glitch and then a restream for the last games cause I think they fixed it for some people :D

I may pay next time only if theres a good crowd , day9 and a real end ceremony.

Inferior product? No what MLG provided was excellent. Only reason I watched a re-stream is because twitch.tv wouldn't accept my debit card.

This poll won't be accurate at all as a sample. That and you left out so many other options like barcrafters lmao.

Didn't pay or watch. I knew there was some kind of work-around/restream, but honestly didn't feel 100% right about doing that.

I don't blame the people that did, though. You don't introduce a PPV format in this environment without having your shit covered, and they didn't. Companies need to adapt to the reality of the current technology, not try to shoe-horn in outdated market models into it. Right now, it looks like freemium is still the way to go.

I'd pay everytime if i had to. So worth it. If you love the game, 20 dollars is nothing.

I didn't pay but I did watch HuK vs. MKP / HuK vs. DRG / MKP vs. DRG for free on the MLG official site. No idea why it let me.

I love football even more than starcraft, but I would not pay 20 dollars to watch it.
