I think you missed the part where the stream died in the middle of the finals and most of the rest of the games were a slide-show. I'm not the one that should be upset, you are.

If by inferior product you are referring to the tournament that set the bar for production, then yes. Minus a few minor glitches lasting no more than 10 minutes over 80 hours of content, MLG > GSL > DreamHack > IPL > NASL.

In my case, I only wathced 3-4 games so thats hardly worth $20. Though if i were to watch the entire event I probably would have paid (price point still seems high to me). Actually another reason I didnt want to pay is because I dont want to support MLG in this. If lots of people pay, they will turn PPV into a normal thing. Yeah, $20 for 1 event is not bad, but if this becomes a habbit it will get expensive. Besides other tourneys seems to be able to run events with free streams and not shut down, so I dont see why we should abandon that model.

No what MLG provided was excellent. Only reason I watched a re-stream is because twitch.tv wouldn't accept my debit card.

I don't blame the people that did, though. You don't introduce a PPV format in this environment without having your shit covered, and they didn't. Companies need to adapt to the reality of the current technology, not try to shoe-horn in outdated market models into it. Right now, it looks like freemium is still the way to go.
