on a side note, i know this is a casual formal but....The grammatical failure of someone of these posts is sad. I mean, I don't care when its just some individual or the TL writers (yes most of them are terrible grammar) but I would think a large company like Razer would have like a proofreader. Whatever, just a rant. Still very excited to see what exactly this "trifecta" entails.

If they didn't need Quantic to send their players oversea to MLG's and Blizzcon and could have done it by themselves, they had no business giving Quantic advantages back at their own cost. You're telling me that IM didn't receive a better part of the deal than Quantic, whereas factually, the only thing you're talking about to justify it is something incommensurable and only dependant of your own individual perception: "trademark"/"reputation". It is not something you can directly translate into money, and you, unless you're willingful to release them here, don't have the objective informations and numbers if it was indeed more successful in terms of trademark to IM or Quantic. Now if you want we can discuss about what's mensurable, and it seems to me that IM got a way better deal than Quantic on the matter, as Quantic was supposed to finance IM's trips to MLG providence and Blizzcon for instance, and honored their part of the deal, whereas IM was supposed to grant a sit into their gaming house to Quantic players, but backed out of the deal before they had to (as Naniwa and Destiny spent most of their time in Korea under Quantic's colors in Startale house). Now if a team signs a partnership with another team, it is obviously because both have acknowledged that they have an advantage by doing so, and I'm not sure why you consider that it was a bad deal for one of them, if themselves, with their own interests, went to the conclusion, before embodying it in a contract, that it was a good thing for both of them. You're also talking about issues with getting further sponsors in the same category that the one you just signed, for example you can't have a second deal in keyboard/mouse producers if you sign with Razer, but that's the same with every team/business. You can't/there's no point having two concurrent sponsors in a same category. That argument makes no sense. You're also trying to say that that deal will prevent oGs from getting sponsors, when it is that deal that made them be able to pick up Razer. If they could have picked Razer by themselves, don't you think they would have done it? And why picking Razer alone is better than picking Razer and making a partnership with a foreign team that can contribuate to oGs expenses/provide training partners (I heard Naama is not that terrible, and it's not like korean players are always available to train with every other of their team mates 24/7, they eventually have tournaments to prepare, where they can face each other). The point that troubles me in your argumentation is that you seem to be worried about eSahara abusing in a way, for a reason that you didn't formulate, oGs, but on the other hand you're praising IM for having such behavior. About eSahara, they made mistakes like making a typo on a plane ticket, but how is that even comparable to being shady or ill-intentionned, and how is that even a reliable sign of the future turn of events (despite my point of saying that if that deal in a way or another stops at some time, that it would have brought nothing but good things to both teams)? I never said anything about ill-intentioned, rather did i focus on the lack of professionalism in eSahara. Recruiting a player based on one msn conversation, bashing former managers in a press release etc. I never said anything about that IM could'nt have gotten a better deal or that the Quantic deal wasnt good for them, but i would rather see them try to actually build up an independent strong economical base. Razer actually sponsored oGs in early 2011 and decided to not sponsor them for the rest of the year, and also Razer (And other sponsors like Steelseries) are known for being very strict about their competitors (the other sponsors). I.e. The Slayers/EG deal we're Razer have told SlayerS that EG are not allowed to participate in GSTL with them. (Similiar conflicts have happened before in esports, for example once in cs 1.6. event razer sponsored players were'nt allowed to use their gear because it was steelseries sponsored event. On February 03 2012 23:36 nam nam wrote: You seem very hung up on the word trademark. It's not worth a shit if you can get sponsors and evidently from all the foreign teams partnering with Korean teams, it's not easy pickings to get sponsors in Korea. Saying that they can build an economic base themselves is nothing more than wishful thinking or speculating by your part. And you are seriously exaggurating the issues with having razor as a sponsor. You can't have it both ways. Well I'd rather say most Korean teams aren't really focusing that much on marketing aspect of esports. Numerous of teams have proven in the past that it IS infact possible to get strong sponsorships in Korea, for example multigaming teams WeMadeFox and eStro, who both had succesful teams who had strong financial backing although the titles they played we're relativly small in Korea (i.e. the Estro cs 1.6 team and FoX warcraft 3 team).

anyway, on topic, as long as it doesn't effect TL's relationship with oGs, i'm all for this. For that matter, makes me wonder if some of the members of TL living in europe will train there too?

The rest are already in Korea.
