Forgg is hyped because he is unknown, noone knows his potential. he could win Code S, or go to Code B. no one knows. IdrA isnt like that, hes been a top foreigner since the game came out. Say what you want, he is one of, if not the, most accomplished foreigner. alongside huk and naniwa. EDIT: he ninja edited me, was a quote from the guy above me before he changed it.

Remember even artosis qualified back then. ![]() True, but also remember that zerg was really quite underpowered back then, since that was before a lot of balance changes happened, almost all of which either buffed zerg or nerfed T/P. With the game much closer to balance now I'd say we have a chance of seeing idra perform really well in the GSL.

I don't think I've seen the guy lose a game yet from memory and he was the other one who really stood out for me. FWIW I agree that tier 4 would probably beat tier 3 in a match. +1 to this. Brown and Parting are gonna tear everyone apart lol. I bet they'd be another Oz and Puzzle this season. Their HTs and units control is hella sick.

And IdrA isn't the really top 10 of foreigners when he's in a heavy slump after came back to the US lol. Stop hyping him, he can't get through R32 for sure. And Sen is forever 3rd place in foreigner's events.

Going through code A quali's on his first try and then easily smashing sage, polt & july shows that he probably won't be going to code B lol.

He never dropped out in one season, it was GSL January that he played in, which is almost a year ago now... That is the equivalent of saying that Jinro is on par with IdrA because he actually got further than IdrA in GSL January (Ro4)

Yeah winning 3 tournaments and making it far in others during july - november is fucking terrible and slumping hard. He was slumping but he kinda broke out of it winning 2 tournaments (even if 1 was only foreigners) still winning 2 tournaments and making it far in most of the MLG's. Idra could make it to the RO16 for sure he has the potential just like sen, Idra has beaten code S players, he practices with code S players now and is back in korea he can definitely make it to the ro16. Will he? We shall see groups will determine.

This is a small flaw but it would be unfair to seed those players higher just because they have been playing well or had experience in BW or whatever, these are small faults that will be arbitraged away as time goes on. So a consistent tournament that has recurring editions shouldn't seed players based on their performance in previous editions of their tournament? What should they seed people based on, then? IdrA and Sen were invited based on their performance at recent events (IdrA at Gangzhou and Orlando, Sen at Blizzcon). GSL now has two invite bids for foreign players each season. This is information we already knew from the Naniwa shitstorm. Tiers 2-4 are determined based on GSL Points from 2011. IdrA has them. Any other questions?
