so please stop bashing on someone that is going to try to achive something just cause he isnt good at the game at the moment.

I believe that hard work will get you far and that bashing shouldnt happen but please dont think for a minute that talent does not exist. If this were true there everyone would be a professional athlete or whatever else. The fact is that natural talent does exist and some people are naturally better (their brains actually are better developed in certain areas) at certain things than others.

Does this mean that you can never achieve these things? No. Does this mean that more than likely other people will excel at them over you? Yes.

Regardless GL to desRow in korea and have fun.

i disagree to a certain extent. Everything in sc2 can be taught, micro, macro, decision making, playing under pressure, etc etc. You can't exactly teach an athlete to be tall/faster/strong/gifted.

Sure somebody can learn sc2 faster than others and just know how to improve better, but that does not mean someone with no 'talent" cannot become a good player. Honestly the only way to get better at games is to play them a lot, there's not some hidden secret that pro players are just more gifted than regular gamers, they just play the game more (for the most part)

I'm far from a desrow fan, but I do wish him luck on pursuing his dreams, and shame on those who are bashing somebody who has the balls to do what he wants. I'm sure you wouldn't like it if people shit on your dreams, so why do it to desrow?

They grow up so fast. :´)

Picture this: The only child, a real momma's boy, who lives at home and barely goes out of the house. He spends most of his time grinding a videogame and has probably always been pick on for his weight, gets told he's this and can't do that. That guy is getting on a plane to South effin Korea to chase his dream. Now that's brave. Can't have nothing but respect for a person who does that no matter what.

I wish you the best of luck on your eastern adventure, desRow. It will be a big life experience no matter how your game goes.

Is anyone even bashing him? The worst I've read is people writing they don't think the cost/benefit supports doing this.

That's not bashing. You don't always have to squeel whenever someone is doing anything for ESPORTS.

Unfortunately thats just not true. Im sorry I used professional athletes but you can argue the point in any professions, even ones that dont require physical prowess.

What you said is true, people can learn these things, but like I said... some people are naturally better at them. Some people just have better decision making. Its like saying everyone can be bobby fischer... do you really think thats true?

I'm not saying anyone is bashing the player.

I'm arguing it's a move that makes sense in the cost/benefit angle for the team, not necessarily for desRow himself.

Of course not, but I highly doubt desrow or his team is expecting him to be the next flash when he returns from korea. Also I think its near impossible to predict how well somebody will do with proper training, even people with amazing talent can sometimes fall flat on their face (you see it all the time in pro sports, top first round draft picks being completely bad and people who they say don't have the talent to be the best become superstars, like tom brady)

I admire that people want to succeed at SC2, but when you're not even a top tier/2nd tier pro in NA, I think it's silly going to Korea.

I really don't see why. What if he wants to get better? What if he wants exposure to that scene? What if he wants to see if he can improve to a point where he is top tier?

Unless the guy doesn't want to go, or doesn't really have the money, I don't see how it's silly or cost-inefficient.

Destiny shouldn't even bother going to Korea huh?

When SC2 is your livelihood, it's going to help your career no matter what happens.

First off, Destiny is better than DesRow. Second off, he's going for 3 weeks to test the waters, and it's all paid for him where as DesRow is going for a year and has to pay for it.
