Please make sure to read the statement from Naniwa that is linked in the full article before commenting.

are you honestly telling me that what naniwa did is any worse than what MC and IdrA have done that some in the community see as 'bm' and 'controversial'? and no im not talking about the murloc suit. Many top players regularly trash talk and insult other players, its part of the game. Lots of famous players, even those 'on teams with concern for their brand' have done so. I honestly dont see why it makes sense to kick out someone who posts top3 results regularly even vs top level koreans at international events...for this. EG wouldnt do that.

Well at least Naniwa won't be alone as he can be with Sase (and destiny). Best of luck to both parties.

Hopefully playing with Sase more can help him diversify his play a bit. Might seem weird to say after how well he did last MLG but I really think he won't have many more good results if he keeps doing what he's doing. He comes across to me as a 1 trick pony who once in a while will show up with a strat that is ahead of the meta game and do really well in a 1 weekend tournament, however once that's figured out, like Leenock did, he becomes only mediocre for the next few months.

When has Nani ever been mediocre? Or does losing in Code A already mean mediocre for a foreigner?
Nani got placed high at nearly any tourney which wasnt GSL.

For the record, many people don't/didn't like MC/Idra as much for their bm. Two/three wrongs do not make a right. The suit thing was for the crowd. I don't even know how you could consider that part BM.

Frankly it was totally expected, Nani is just a difficult person who isn't as strong socially as he is playing starcraft

what nani did at mlg is fine. you're required to have thick skin if you are going to do well at anything.

all this talk about bm is just ridiculous.

Quantic becomes more and more to my taste :D
The chair slowly turns around. You see his face, but it can't be. He's not supposed to be here. Not him. Not a Protoss. Not THAT Protoss. MC says, "Hi Greg, long time no see." You back slowly out of the booth. But you can't. It's already forcefielded.

I actually am really happy about this. Quantic seems to be coming out of no where and trying to build a good name in Korea. I think being with SaSe would really help him out in Korea. I can't imagine Liquid living with oGs at the beginning if only one of them knew english. Always a fan of Naniwa!

Oh, its great to hear that there will be some Brotoss love between Naniwa and Sase! It will help their PvP lots too I am sure!

I was quite critical of Naniwa, but seeing his message and seeing how he "gets lonely quite easily" was pretty touching. I hope and am quite sure Quantic will be great for Naniwa. (Hell, Quantic even has a troll like Destiny ;D so they can handle Naniwa). Good luck with everything Naniwa, I hope you will make a big come back and prove all the doubters wrong.

Yes, it is worse when you combine his history and saying MLG is a joke of a tournament. Idra and MC have never insulted a tournament they're at.

Move makes sense for him, complexity is going nowhere and doesn't care about korea other than bringing DRG to foreign tournaments for sponsorship. Quantic seems to be up-and-coming, and it must be nice having other english speaking folk to live with in a country whose language you don't speak.

Also, lol @ this thread, should've known the reaction would be this. The SC2 community gets worse every day it seems, it's like a larger, scarier version of Mean Girls.

I don't think the Naniwa Nestea incident is what people are saying is BM, rather the whole "MLG joke tournament" thing which really is indefensible even if he was mislead. However, I still wish complexity thought this decision out and at least have tried to work with Naniwa on his "core values", whatever they may be. Although perhaps I may be biased against complexity in this situation because of what Jason Lake said on reddit...

I'm thinking that Naniwa cares more about his personal goals than the goals of the team. For instance you didn't seen him often on team events with neither Dignitas nor Complexity. But whatever the "issue" is, Complexity should have been fully aware of it, seeing as this transfer seems pretty similar to what happened when they signed Nani in the first place! And either way, in his short period with Complexity, it feels like Naniwa had more success than anyone on their team had managed before (not counting Mvp), so congratulations Quantic! Naniwa, SaSe and Startale combined? Winning.
