nice idea, only problem i can foresee with this is fraudulent games hard to verify that all games will be played by 'player x' on player x's account

Also he tweeted somewhere asking the fans if they wanted $500,000 throughout the year and $1million final or $1 million throughout the year and $500,000 final If that's the case, $1,250,000 throughout the year and $250,000 final.
Bigger prize pool means lower places get more $ which means more Korean and European talent especially will come for the events.
I'd also like to see the return of MLG Atlanta, because that's where I'm from, but that's very unlikely. Raleigh is only a 6 hour drive, and Orlando is only like 9, so it's do-able for me.

I just wish they discard the current horrible pool system.

I predict that Naniwa will finally reveal which planet he is actually from. Insanely great play from him today. Leenock too!

All I want is for MLG to come to NYC. Please!?!?!?

There are quite a few problems with the MLG-format, but the pool system aint one
I assume you mean the seeding of players into championship bracket?
You must realize, that as long as its an open tournament and anyone can enter, there will be big long and sometimes imbalanced brackets.. But how else will you do it?
The seeding could do with some tweaking, I would agree on that
Also, my oppinion keeps wavering back and forth on those extended series.. Like, if DongRaeGu had won against Leenock, DRG would face Naniwa in a bo1 if Naniwa takes any games for the first 2 games... That's not super fair imo

All i would want: Better/tweaked format, bigger prize pool, for Canadians, their own event.
Sundance and the crew are doing fine fucking job already. Keep it up.

SC2 + LoL + console game (s?)
we'll see which console game(s) make the cut. there isn't one out there that comes anywhere close to drawing viewers comparable to SC2 or LoL

They don't have to make the scale for the console titles as big as SC2. Maybe only bring them in, in the final.

I for one am very disappointed that the Halo: Reach prize pool was double that of the Starcraft 2 Prize Pool.
I want MLG to pick up SSF4. Fighting game community is awesome, and draws lots of crowds.

bring back Smash Bros!!
Apart from that, monthly tournaments would be awesome (gsl-esque maybe)

That's not super fair imo I enjoy the extended series but I'm not sure how to feel about how Naniwa only had to win one bo3 against Leenock. Here's my argument: Without Extended Series I think the following scenarios are possible
Suppose DRG did beat Leenock in the loser's finals. Then, DRG would go on to face Naniwa. DRG only needs to win 2 games against Naniwa to win the championship. So does Nani, but this means that in the tournament as a whole Nani needs to beat DRG 4 times but DRG only needs to beat Nani twice.
The way I make the 2 bo3 scenario that occured with Leenock work in my mind is by saying that if Nani beat Leenock in the first bo3, Leenock is knocked out of the loser's bracket (and hence out of the tournament). If Leenock wins the first bo3, Nani is knocked into the loser's bracket and he has to lose one more bo3 to get kicked out completely. Otherwise why is it fair that Leenock has to lose twice (once to DRG in the champ bracket and once to Nani in the finals) to not win but Nani only has to lose once--against Leenock in the finals. I think these are the main reasons these rules are in place.

I believe there's 4 players to a team for Halo. So while it is double, it's effectively 1/2 per person. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I predict a 500k+ prize pool for the next finals. (sc2 only obviously)

I would also like to see more top europeans. Sase, Strelok, Stephano, white-ra Balance everything out with more players from each region if possible. Can you imagine having the top 30 players from each region participating!! Would be great
Man so many possible things could happen in 2012, how long do we have to wait??

MLG drops LoL and picks up Dota 2.
|
I hope there's no TV channel. Shit would start tumbling down like CGS CS:S all over again. The idea of a new ladder is intriguing though. I wonder if it would be like iccup? And what Blizzard thinks of having an external "ladder"

I would love the idea of an external ladder. That would be great!

Im not sure tho, how many people play Dota? because apparently 35 million play LoL.....I don't know numbers, but i'd imagine they'd go with whichever game has more potential viewers.
