for my part I place you alongside the deezer and combatex of this world, bunch of kids who should have had their dad slap them a couple more times to teach you respect of authority and respect of your community. If I were you, I would quit e-sport and never come back.

john to gus: hey gus, anyway glad to see ppsl is looking successful. i have a few concerns though that i'm not sure that many people have voiced out yet or are afraid to bring up. well first and foremost the foreigner issue, i think it's a great idea and will lure in sponsors and attention for sure. also it will force proper practice and training for our ph players to be ready to fight them. i'm only concerned really with the foreign player logistics in the form of their airfare (well if they are sponsored to come over by their teams good, but if not, it might be foresight to see what kind of incentives / accommodations you are ready to provide for them). secondly on the foreigner issue. it's pretty statistically sound that the winners of the tournament eg. final 4-8 players will be truly foreigners and will sort of go against the theme of 'philippine pro starleague' (a branding issue more then anything else). i mean this kind of mix is good if you're named the gsl, but it's sort of counter intuitive to be called the philippine prostarleague and not maybe the southeast asian invitational or something similar to dreamhack. second issue i'd like to see addressed is somewhat the entire graphic design approach of the ppsl. i think you guys need to hire a few graphic artists to get some work done. to be honest i'll share with you i'm working with dj on a kts game media website project (more like a glorified business card at this point) and he has real talent for design and social media concerns. i'd suggest hiring him to co-work on your site/entire creative appeal or someone like him to help solidify the image of the upcoming ppsl. last issue, is the ppsl's sustainability. i think you need to work carefully to create a business plan toward eg. acquiring future sponsors and or creation of the actual 'league' part of the ppsl. the prize-pool is also something else that isn't as easy to come-by in our country. (but then again if you can pay pba players multi-million peso contracts maybe not that hard to find). the direction i hope team azk goes to is obviously gma/tv5/abs-cbn type 'league' deals as i feel media visibility through television would help sustain the league as not just some event people go to and watch live. well that direction itself needs the help of the other two concerns i aforementioned. i remember watching counter-strike back in early 2000 (well i competed in league for it and got third place), and the finals were streamed live from a parking lot in ortigas with live-bands/sponsors etc.. the turn-out crowd was good and all but nothing really became of the the 'esports' movement afterward. i believe the league portion of the ppsl needs to be emphasized to generate enough interest for the continuation of future projects. otherwise from a business perspective, you're looking at making say 50k-100k php once a year which we both know is practically nothing ^^ gg. e-sports will take-off in the ph for sure gus, i'd like to help in anyway i can. -john ---------- aksldjf;lajsd;lkfjl;sjd;lfjasjdlkfjsal;djfjasl;dkjfl;ajsdl;fjasl;kjdfl;kjsd;lfjaskjf;lasjdf;lajsdf

Well look at NASL (North American Starleague). The winner and most of the top guys were koreans. So i would basically say its all about the place where its hosted.
