So happy to see Sc2 finally progress to this level! REAL teams (no offence to current sc2 teams, I mean in terms of how established teams like KT and CJ etc. are) I am sad for the BW scene though :-( Maybe it will finally go :-(

"We are practicing by watching GSL matches. If we start for real I think we'll be able to become top players soon". Flash and Jaedong are practising by watching the GSL? they don't even need to play the game. anyway, im a big bw fan, and i will always consider bw to be the best game i've ever played, as i have so many fine memories of it. i will be sad if bw dies but it has to happen sooner or later. watching flash playing sc2 is something i dream of. i think hots is a good opportunity to start actually. just hoping bw pros will enjoy the game!

Big deal. I simply threw out a possibility. Geez. Your mockery is so well placed! In fact I better go edit that just so you are happy I think! Ill get right on that! Jinro played protoss, not terran in BW.

I suppose the fact that there's many B-Teamers who switched over to SC2 (Ganzi, Losira, MC and Nestea). I believe MVP was the only relevant A-Teamer to switch over aside from ForGG (oGsFin). This is good for SC2... only if its done later or at a gradual pace. I do not think an explosion of mass sponsorship and players is a good thing, unless you enjoy seeing our current players be pushed all the way down to Code B, assuming there IS a mass switch. It may work if its just B-Teamers from BW. I don't want BW to die either so I think negatively of the news, despite the hype surrounding it. correct it's quite unarguable that most of the best players have BW experience. but that's not really the point. the point is that if most of the BW teams are going to create sc2 divisions, then there is no doubt that these divisions are going to dominate the scene, if not because of experience, then because of $$$ and fan support. sc2 is already korean centric. there's just no arguing that, whether at blizzcon or mlg or a rather unimportant league like nasl, koreans are taking most of the top places. the reason why BW died out internationally is because the koreans dominated. if this news is going to come true, then i predict a surge in sc2 popularity for 1-2 years, followed by a huge decline in the west as newer games come out. maybe a couple of foreigners like idra and huk might stay at the top living in korea, but for the vast majority of them, they will be left by the roadside. may not be a bad thing, though.

If anything, this probably means that the Dream League is dead. Yeah, I agree. Dream League dying feels pretty likely at this point, but I think that’s it. I don’t think we will see many A-teams switch, if any at all. Especially not just after the release of HoTS where Blizzard showed that the core issues of SC2 will not be dealt with and balancing is back to square one.

That article is a joke, besides I suppose it's not allowed to have excerpts translated here. They mean that they are practicing while watching the GSL to learn. It was a bad translation sorry.

On the other, well. BW just excites me more than SC2 does to watch it. Gets in my gut and wrenches it every time I watch Jaedong just refuse to die, and win a game through sheer force of will. Or Bisu control his units *perfectly* and win an engagement he really shouldn't have. Or Flash just plain have more stuff/bases than the other guy. It'll be sweet to see if SC2 can exhibit these sort of things. I just hope it can, if this is indeed where the BW teams are going.

The changes are pretty brutal so I don't think the BW pros will be too far behind

Hell, Flash had to have muscles removed from his wrist because they were overdeveloped and pinching a nerve.
