we ll see how this patch works out, hopefully protoss can stop complaining after this (looking at you SOTG). I wonder how the emp nerf will affect TvZ though.
btw can zergs please shut the hell up about ghosts. Ghosts are problematic vs protoss cause of EMP. I dont understand why zerg complain about ghost. What else outside of ghosts beats broodlord infestor, tell me? the answer is nothing. Ghost counters zerg T3 true, so what? thats the onyl unit that does.
The only evidence vs ghosts is one game vs july wehre july thought a million ultras vs an army of ghosts with no support was a good idea. and one where MVP lost super slow to darkforce until darkforce decided to make... *gasp* lings and a moved to victory.

The EMP change is a step in the right direction but it doesn't stop the carpet EMP you just have to have like 1 more ghost.
What they really need to do is make it so you can't get EMP'd multiple times in a row. The EMP is the only spellcaster AOE that "stacks" because it happens instantly. They need to give an EMP'd unit an immunity to EMP buff when they get hit that wears off after a short time.

Don't think it matters. Any units that get hit by the EMP are dead "after a short time".

And by the way, Toss has such a low win rate in Korea due to their being so few Toss. Of course the win ratio will be bad.

If you can hold a 2 base 2 forge timing attack, you can hold it off after 1.4.2 when protoss pushes with an extra half of a sentry.
There is nothing baseless about it. The most recent graphs DID NOT show those win rates. I cannot find the post on TL, but your wrong. Dead wrong in fact. Nestea/Idra/Losira/etc.. all say that there are some imbalances to ZvP. If you are going to jump in, do it with some real statistics. Not ones you pull off the top of your head.

Exactly. I am a zerg player as well but don't see how this going to make that drastic of a change. Going 3 forge off of just 2 base shouldn't be a big deal considering how many less units the P will have.
The EMP radius decrease seems like a good change but like every other patch we'll just have to see how it plays out.

There's more HP than shields for zealots (which you'll build anyway), and armor upgrades are cheaper. Sure, it's cute when protoss buildings have +3 shields, but +2 terran building armor is rarely researched anyway. In addition, armor starts at 1 for most units, while shields start at 0.
Shields are really only worth it if you want to transition to air, since the upgrades keep. Or if you have archons.

It's amazing how this community automatically assumes anyone still arguing about P or T automatically has to playing the opposite race. Please realize that a lot of people are saying their OWN race is the one that needs more fixing sometimes, like stephano did today when speaking of burrowed moving banelings. Some P's are saying there own upgrade buff seem like a bit much and some T's are saying there own ghost are still a bit too powerful.
Stop assuming everyone is the opposite race because you assume everything to be QQ or because they have a little outdated icon next to there alias. It downgrades the whole community and reduces the real mature balance discussion from progressing.

About the change on Ghosts.
The EMP radius reduction was to nerf the effectiveness of the early EMP builds that many, many terrans have adapted recently on ladder.
With a 2 radius, you could EMP about 6 stalkers if clumped, now you probably can hit 3-4. Big difference when it's an early game fight
