Oh man, I think I would lose my mind if it came to that. I want this done as much as you guys do.
But seriously, I think people have really lost a sense of how long it takes to actually physically do this sort of process. A year for post-production on a documentary project this size is the norm, and not at all considered an exceptionally long time in the industry. It's just difficult to be the one watching and waiting and wanting to see the film, and I get that. The time feels longer when you're waiting to see it than it does when you're actually doing the work.

Don't read to much into what others say here, they like to attack everything that moves in the esport scene.

I just wanted to remind everybody who might want news as it happens that we have a Facebook page here: http://www.facebook.com/goodgamemovie
I'm more likely to put quick random updates there than anywhere else, because there's no character limit but it doesn't feel as "important" as a blog update on the website or a mailing list update so I can just add little things.
For example, yesterday I realized it'd been exactly two years since we actually started filming (after six months or so of pre-production work) and I also had a long phone meeting with our new editor about the latest cut and where we're going with it. It's really coming together, I'm really happy with what he's done so far.

Just wanted to let everybody know the latest about the film! Our editor delivered a rough cut to me earlier this month, and I sent him fourteen pages of notes, but overall it's looking really great and I'm really happy with hit. I wrote up more thoughts about it on the blog - http://goodgamemovie.com/news/rough-cut if you're interested!

There's a new interview about the film that you guys might like, we talk about where we are in the post production process and I mention a bit about how I've been working with our new editor, Henry. I was a guest on my friend Kevin's show, Picture Lock. Kevin also was one of our cameramen during MLG Columbus, which was one of our first big events that we went to for the film, so he was with us at the beginning and it was fun to chat with him.
My section starts at 15:35. I also spend some time talking about how I got into film and my previous short film, Catching Up.

I'm going to be nailing down a more concrete schedule in the coming months, there's a few balls up in the air right now that I have to see where they land first. But in general, we'll have some more solid information for people soon. But we are in the home stretch, I can tell you that much!

Honestly, at this point, I've stopped believing it will ever come out. The delays have been unacceptable. We're past the point where "we'll announce a more concrete schedule in the coming MONTHS(!!!!)" mean anything; only it being released will mean anything.
I'll be very happy to be wrong obviously, since I've paid good money for this documentary!

this is like sons of starcraft. no one cares if you're "going to be nailing down a more concrete schedule in the coming months." i want to see this, but i don't see it happening.
