Same for Naniwa 10 month ago when everybody was blaming his behaviour (he is a nice guy now). If their behaviour didn't cost them anything, i've no reason to worried about Stephano's futur There's a huge difference between having a temper and going back on contracts. Not every country has these legal loopholes, ya know.
I don't know if Stephano cares though as he's said that he wants to do SC2 for a year then keep studying. Even so i'm pretty sure teams wont have much problems with it later on if he can show that he's grown up a bit.

Come on, Stephano is a 18 year-old boy who, regarding its behaviour in front of a camera, seems a bit shy. While he has to take responsibility for his acts, one shouldn't expect to much of a stability at this age, or a tremendous ability to deal with social pressure (aka two teams competing to get him).
Just let Millenium and Complexity deal with their stuff, and call it a day.

COME ON ! Stephano is young, he fucked up hard, coL's manager cryed a little bit but i really don't think this deserves 3k posts of hating O_o. Are we just in real world? I mean no one died, when i read this thread i got the feeling a crowd of angry men will brake him into little pieces when he'll travel to MLG (if CIA don't arrest him at the airport). Calm down, he didn't eat your mothers. Out of interest what age is the age of majority in your imaginary world? I find it very interesting that all people stress that Stephano is so young (allegedly) when he is in fact old enough to be legally and morally responsible for his actions. Regarding the other stuff in your post, you should probably consider how silly the internet is in general, some minor scandal like this is enough to spawn 10 days of nerd rage at the very least, until the next piece of interest comes along. I see this all the time, and yes, 18 is the legal adult age it says very little about how grown up a person is. Going from a protected environment in high school directly to signing contracts for alot of money can be hard. Especially if the person isn't sure on what they want in the future (move, travel etc). That is true, but it is also true that you have to be responsible, because you are liable at that age. Most people make some minor mistakes at that point in their life, but if they have to make a big call of some kind they usually consult some kind of advisor (parents, favorite teacher, preacher whatever) before they do so.
That is basically the only thing i blame Stephano for, he had the time (18 days) to think carefully and make up his mind, you really cannot say he was young and vulnerable with such a timescale.
Yes some people aren't mature enough to make those calls, but frankly that is their own fault, either you are, or you need to rely on your parents to keep making decisions for you (since they most likely protected you too much before).

Idra and Naniwa may act like assholes but they don't act unprofessional in the business sense. Idra certainly has a deep commitment and respect for his contract with EG and there's nothing to indicate that Naniwa isn't likewise committed to honoring agreements that he enters into.
Stephano has proven himself to be childish and untrustworthy which is a far worse thing than not having in game "manner" in the eyes of a business.

let him play for Mill. in france + europe and for col in the US + korea....GG
|
Hmm, is only me reminding how Naniwa fucked basicaly all important european structures (like 2 weaks in each) before signing with dignitas, now he's the same big asshole as he ever been but nobody cares... I don't care too, that's why i don't understand this 3k post thread I just hope Stephano will continue to make me mad when he handles 12 hellions with 1 spine 1 queen and 4 zerglings, i don't care about his team and you should too. Now this is an affair between Mill and coL.

Most of you speak as though you know everything about what actually happened, bu I highly doubt it is the case. Therefore you obviously should not judge too quickly, don't let the primitive patriotism and rage inside you make you look like a total moron.

Complexity co-owner Jason Bass to discuss DRG's win, and the hot topic surrounding Stephano and the current issues with Millenium, where he currently stands on Complexity right now.
Starts at 7 PM ET/01:00 CET

What ever the situation currently is Stephano is really worth of fighting

I keep seeing this argument. Is 18 really still regarded as a kid/boy in France? It's COMPLETELY different here in the U.S. Not only are you considered a full adult, most people consider you of making completely rational decisions before 18, and 18 is merely the legal age, despite you being considered an adult (generally) even sooner than that.

Yeah, but you can die for your country!

18 is usually considered adult from a legal standpoint (although you are very unlikely to get a maximum sentence on a first offence)
Being considered as an adult in a conversation, depending on the people talking, means having faced real life and punched it once or twice (living outside of your parents home / having a family / stopping childish hobbies like video games), which can get you up to 25 or even 30.

Can't wait for Live on Three tonight.

People who repeatedly call legal dispositions "loopholes" (this includes iNc on SotG) are insulting. Additionnally, they are ignorant, because these dispositions also exist in their own country.

This is one thing most of you don't know. Player from age 16 and up have been prospects of "Professional Organizations" for years. Counter-Strike for instance was the biggest e-sports game a few years back with young players being contracted left, right and center. At age 18, being out of high school and being a part of e-sports for some time Stephano should know better.
This is not in anyway Complexity's fault. Stephano signed a contract. Anyone should know this by now, when you sign a contract you are committed to it. Honestly I hope Stephano suffers from this, no I don't have anything against him but it will teach people a lesson. Organizations like EG, coL, fnatic have been doing this for years, spending hours a day for gamers and applying for sponsorships to support gamers. They are a company, they are here for the community. Take it serious or don't even bother becoming a "Professional Gamer".

There really need to be some sort of SC2 ruling body to sort out mess like this...

It is hilarious that you would call laws that protect the ordinary citizen from making potentially disastrous life-altering decisions a "legal loophole." I take it you are also for large corporations being able to issue sub-prime mortgages out to anybody? In case you don't remember that is a huge reason why the economy of the US has been in a near-catastrophic state for the last 4 years.

actual athletes are generally drafted straight out of high school as well, does that mean that because they are "only 18" their contracts don't mean anything or they shouldn't face reprecussions for violating them?
