The only damage Col received from this is due to their hasty announcement, not even waiting for Millenium to be informed and letting them make a goodbye message which leads one to suppose that they thought that if they didn't close the deal as fast as possible they had little chance to sway Stephano away from his team. Also in order to properly contract a French citizen you need a contract that is written in both English and French and more importantly that satisfies French law, I don't see how this is even a matter of controversy. This has simply turned into a excuse to engage in some thinly veiled France and US bashing.

I hope they really have to pay lots of money for the crap they created I am not pro France in this regard, French's justice is as bad as US' justice in my opinion, and if you consider Mill & Stephano the eSport definition of France, then I do think they acted rather immature in this specific situation : CoL feel robbed and they have the right to think so, but I suppose going to court is a bit too much, an apology should be enough.

Idra is far to be the most respectfull and manner man in the world, that never closed him any door, because he is a very good player. Same for Naniwa 10 month ago when everybody was blaming his behaviour (he is a nice guy now). If their behaviour didn't cost them anything, i've no reason to worried about Stephano's futur ![]()

TL:DR; Whether or not the french law is on Milleniums side, they are by no means right in their actions, clearly keeping Stephano means more to them though - so I hope it was worth it, considering how much they just lost in bad publicity.

Yes and players need someone to protect their interests and give them advices for their career (like Union, Agents, Lawyers, etc...). It doesn"t exist atm. E Sport is very young. It's not surprising it fails from time to time. No reason for a drama like this one BTW.

COME ON ! Stephano is young, he fucked up hard, coL's manager cryed a little bit but i really don't think this deserves 3k posts of hating O_o. Are we just in real world? I mean no one died, when i read this thread i got the feeling a crowd of angry men will brake him into little pieces when he'll travel to MLG (if CIA don't arrest him at the airport). Calm down, he didn't eat your mothers. ![]()

You tend to care a lot about what's going on on the things you really care about.

I find it very interesting that all people stress that Stephano is so young (allegedly) when he is in fact old enough to be legally and morally responsible for his actions. Regarding the other stuff in your post, you should probably consider how silly the internet is in general, some minor scandal like this is enough to spawn 10 days of nerd rage at the very least, until the next piece of interest comes along.

Make no mistake, there will be a backslash against this type of unethical, shitty attitude.

I see this all the time, and yes, 18 is the legal adult age it says very little about how grown up a person is. Going from a protected environment in high school directly to signing contracts for alot of money can be hard. Especially if the person isn't sure on what they want in the future (move, travel etc).

Not every country has these legal loopholes, ya know.
