EU, however... it's really hard for me to tell, as all of them seem like good players, but I don't think Thorzain will make top 3. Ret, Sjow, and Nani all have a good shot I think, and definitely White-ra if he's in good form. I think ThorZain will eat any non-Mana protoss for breakfast ![]()

They are two different things, and he was clearly referring to investment in the article. Like I've been repeatedly telling you, it was never implied to be profits, and I'm still surprised you can't see that.

Imho, they should've invited more players to these invitationals to get more players introduced to MLG who havent been to MLG before.

First, iNcontrol, why does he still get invited to tournaments like he is a top tier player, stop it. I understand the NA invites are pretty lacking overall, but come on. Why not invite Select over him, or Rain who has been living in NA for awhile; I'd even be fine with pretending Huk is still a "foreigner" to avoid inviting iNcontrol to this. Second, how were the players even selected?? I mean from looking at Korean invites it could be argued by MLG points, but then you look at some of the NA/EU invites and it seems like some were invited due to popularity and not MLG points. I could be wrong about this since I haven't looked at everyones' points that has been invited, but just how it seems. Other than those two gripes which I can definitely overlook, this tournament looks awesome. MLG has really been amazing for SC2 and I'm so glad they have been able to push SC2 and esports into the world. The amount of exposure it's getting is amazing. Can't wait for this tournament, and all the epicness to come.

If they want the best of the best for any competition in general i feel that they should have held a qualifier for this event inviting all the top players to compete for a spot. The better players will most likely advance thus providing with the top end of the competition. If someone loses and doesn't qualify then they obviously didn't deserve to be there. I mean how else did these people get there in the first place. With the current system being used we get to see some "washed up/slumped/not nearly as good as they were/people think they were player type" talent mixed with top talent. Why not just have only top talent that will produce the best games? Best games=best entertainment in my eyes. Who else wants to see one sided games? they are boring. Sorry if it offends anyone but it is kinda true.

Timing availability and interest all played a factor. This will not be the last. In the future I want to open up fan voting region by region. http://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/kajog/global_mlg_sc2_invitaional/c2iqva2

Sadly even Idra isn't really a global contender any more, and he's probably the best non-Huk player to come from NA. Sheth, Select and Kiwikaki are all really good andon a similar/better level than idra. (imo) dde, Slush, major and Cruncher also arent bad.

Destiny beat Puzzle on stream several games in a row on multiple servers. He can definitely compete with the best. However, i do think that he needs to prove himself more at lan events. On another somewhat related subject, How good will destiny perform post patch once infestors get nerfed? Some would say Destinys success is due to infestors.
