Sadly even Idra isn't really a global contender any more, and he's probably the best non-Huk player to come from NA. hmm, the best in NA are Idra, Huk, Slush, Kiwikaki, Sheth, Cruncher, Drewbie, qxc and if you count Demuslim then him too. even though Trimaster has only done well in 1 tournament he's been owning people for a few months now, it's just hard to get through open bracket of MLG and he even did that. there's like 6 people there that should've been invited over Tyler/Incontrol/Destiny at least. EU is still stronger in general but it's kind of disappointing, the invites we have Jesus Christ you don't event count SeleCT the guy who fucking won Bnet invitation for NA??? Haha oh man sometimes i feel sorry for SeleCT, he has been owning it up and still doesn't get the recognition he deserves.
This. Select can beat all the players in the american and european brackets, and he's been doing consistently well for at least a few months now and no one ever cares. He's rarely featured on stage, too. I'm sure one of this days he's gonna win something major like Dreamhack and people are gonna realize just how good he is.

SeleCT and HuK DECLINED the offer.

Looks like a fun event. There are definitely some choices that made me take a step back because I feel there are better players on each server than certain picks but overall it's a solid line up.
Too bad Nestea said no (I assume) but otherwise it should be pretty competitive.
About 90% chance a KR player takes the win though, as always.

Is there a place to see a list of players who declined? I'm sad to see nestea, july, MC, and demuslim not on the list aside from huk and select (lol so many good koreans missing but i guess they need some limit), but they also might have their reasons. Also sad to see players like Sen from taiwan not included
Destiny vs. Idra, really hoping this is destiny's moment to really show us some good zvz Boxer vs. MMA, so sad, but rooting for boxer :D
Also. lol at only 1 P from korea, hero fighting!

These picks are based on popularity and not at all how good the player in question is, take the European bracket for example. Haypro and Jinro are in it, with Haypro taking the spot of players like, Morrow, Nerchio, Dimaga, Darkforce, or Stephano (They may have rejected but even three seems far-fetched). Jinro takes the place of one player in particular which bothers me. Strelok has consistently been shown to be one of if not the best Terran player in Europe, yet Jinro gets picked? I understand North America because of race distribution but having Major, Tyler, and Incontrol all in the bracket makes it look just silly. If you look at the list every team liquid member except for TLO is in the tournament which is just ridiculous I would not mind putting one or even two of the under-performing liquid members ( Haypro, Jinro, Tyler) but all three is just plain unfair to other teams. Aside from that the tournament looks sick.

No HuK. Why?
Edit: Attah boy HuK! Getting your groove back before you start living on a plane again

I'm sorry, but that NA lineup is pretty sad. Surely we have a stronger group of guys to compete for us.
