Why? He shouldn't really be there in the first place. I mean within MLG, he's had what, one 150th place finish or something ridiculous?

Too many Swedes on the EU list to be honest. Looks like they were going for MLG players, but then why is Sase invited (love him but there were enough Swedes already, spread the love around). They should at least have replaced Jinro and Haypro with Mana and Nerchio and Dimaga instead of Sjow or Sase.
NA list is missing select and Huk, a bit sad about seeing Destiny and Tyler in it, neither of them are contenders, kind of boring.
KR is missing DongRaeGu but otherwise as good as they could have got from MLG koreans, they're all great so no big deal.

MLG is seriously wasting invites on Destiny and Incontrol? Surely the NA scene isn't that deprived of talent....?

Don't. He talks about Idra on his stream so much that now he has his chance to put up or shut up.
He also claims that no zergs beat him in late macro games and if he wants a macro game Idra will oblige him.

bit shame alot of ppl are buisy in korea. but pretty good lineups, no complaining.
bit of a side note: Damn the prize money at MLG is laugheble. I mean every MLG is stacked, they close the doors cause they cant let more people in. And like tens of thousends are watching their streams with commercials and thousands are paying for the HD streams. Still its like five grand for 1st place? I mean come on... I mean its like the monthly tournament at you're nearest pc cafe... damn shame...

no germans? sadface

They are obviously aiming for as many viewers as possible since they are trying this new format. There is absolutely no reason for them to invite Destiny over players who have made it way further than him in past MLGs, if that wasn't the case.

Thats fucked up having Boxer go against MMA. They are like father and son.
The Destiny v Idra is going to be fucking epic.
And why is INcontrol there.... should be SeleCT or someone that will actually stand a chance...

No DeMuslim
I don't believe Destiny deserves to be in these brackets but I guess he's there because he's popular.

Good for destiny, just hope he comes up with a few different play styles so he doesn't get raped!

Not how much profit they've made. care to cite your research? http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/21817/Major_League_Gaming_Picks_Up_75M_For_Competitive_Gaming.phpProfessional video game league Major League Gaming announced that it secured a $7.5 million investment from Oak Investment Partners. The same venture capital firm previously invested $25 million into the company in Series B funding in 2006. the na part of this is sad tbh.
EU looks good and korea is fucking awesome.
|
Sweet to see this happening..Kinda surprised by some of the invited players but I guess that is their call.
|
this is pretty retarded, NA has a fucking awful line up and they definitely didn't get the best of NA where as i feel they got some of the best and the rest really good for the other servers. NA gonna get raped.
|
Where is DeMusliM? I feel like he belongs there at the least!
|
For all the people that think Destiny is undeserving.....
Destiny did beat BOMBER in a bo3 in some event at one point not too long ago. Destiny beat Puzzle on stream several games in a row on multiple servers.
He can definitely compete with the best. However, i do think that he needs to prove himself more at lan events.
On another somewhat related subject, How good will destiny perform post patch once infestors get nerfed?

You think it's a coincidence that the numbers are the same? Notice the terminology he used as well, "raised" instead of "earned". Raising money and earning money are two very different things.

imo it's a tossup between the following:
EU: Thorzain, Ret, SaSe NA: Idra, Kiwikaki, Sheth KR: Mvp, Bomber, MMA
I agree with your NA and KR top 3. EU, however... it's really hard for me to tell, as all of them seem like good players, but I don't think Thorzain will make top 3. Ret, Sjow, and Nani all have a good shot I think, and definitely White-ra if he's in good form.

Not even mentioning the somewhat obvious liquid favouritism - the entire goddamn roster of liquid is invited. I wonder why. Because tournament organizers are looking for viewers so that their sponsors are happy. The lineup is prett ideal for that. I would question the occlusion of Huk or MC, but that is probably schedule related.
