Going for a month is an immature adventure, at least in grubbys case its an adventure with minor potential for profit due to a tournament. If a person isnt willing to join a pro house or live in korea, they arent taking sc2 seriously, there being immature and short sighted. Basically "playing" around as a progamer, as they have no chance in accomplishing anything.
Yeah, absolutely. Like Naniwa and Thorzain.

Why shit on him? Manner up, bro

Nice... best of luck to him
Makes me happy whenever I see foreigners go to korea

If you don't see how it could be in any way offensive, you should ask yourself if you'd say that out loud in front of Grubby's face.
If there's one thing Grubby knows how to do, it's how to train. He probably knows better than you or I how to allocate his time for maximum improvement while he's in Korea. He will be fine, and he will improve at his own rate. Even if there's little chance of him making Code A, there's no reason to discourage him from going to Korea or from trying out, especially if he's going to be there anyways. It's a good way to measure your skill, for one thing, and it's always beneficial to experience the Code A qualifiers at least once so you know what it's like to play in that sort of environment.

Good luck Grubby! I'll be cheering for you!

He definitely needs this. I'm a big fan of him but his results in SC2 have been very poor.

Naniwa and Thorzain are much better SC2 players.
Not that this is directed at you, but thinking that WC3 skill => SC2 skill is even more naive than thinking SC1 skill => SC2 skill... I mean, in the latter case, at least it's a sequel. It's useful to be have previously been a pro at a RTS rather than being a complete amateur, of course, but it doesn't translate over completely.
Besides, with a wife and all, I feel like Grubby's priorities (like many aged SC1 players and gamers) will have begun to shift. Most players don't decline to physically deteriorating with age, but because they can't put as much time into it. Plus being one of the undisputed best at WC3 might dull that hunger for a championship that a lot of other older players have.
I don't doubt his passion, but I just don't believe that Grubby will ever become a dominant force in SC2.

Good news and good luck Grubby

Grubby is horrible at sc2. Its sad. I really hope this makes him at least viable to watch in matches. I really wanted him to do well but he doesn't seem very well suited to protoss. I'm not sure if its the wrong race for him or what...
I dunno overall I think protoss is really the most uncertain in terms of balance of all races atm.

I don't see why some people are being negative here. It doesn't matter if he qualifies for Code A or not, It would be great if he does but even if he doesn't that experience will only make him strive to improve and do better. The fact that he is going to Korea is a huge leap forward.
