Also I didn't understand how the league systems work, like in which league are my players and when and why they can/can't sign up for tourneys. BESIDES those minor inconviences this game is so boss, I see me wasting so much time playing it...goodbye sc2, hello sc2 manager. xD

Seems strategy is pretty useless, as no matter who played what the player with a slight edge in stats always won. I readjusted some specific things (Mostly harder macro early on) because they seemed to help a tiny bit. I also would pick some counter strategies for my ace if he made it deep into tournies (Basically I would pick more or less aggressive builds depending on my opponent's build). My ace had decent stats though. My crap players could only reliably win with balanced as they messed everything else up pretty bad.

Another thing you could possibly add would be a "Home-Hero" the chance to start off with a player from your home country

So I would say that is often more important really..

Stamina is a HUGE factor in these cases.. did you check the other guys stamina before the match? I got the feeling it is much more important than a specific strategy, if he is extremly fatigue he will mess up..

My players were pretty strong in general, although I stuck with Basic Zerg with tweaks made to it (better scouting, more frequent attacks, use of macro mechanic at the proper moment, etc.) and it tended to win games. I went on a bit of a losing streak after modifying it a bit to have Defend in periods of times, so I promptly switched back >.> My Protoss strategy didn't work out so well for me, though. Theoretically, AfterStiff (I know) was a pretty decent player with 6/5/4 in Macro/Micro/Multitasking, with killer PvZ and decent PvP, but he lost plenty of games even at full Stamina. Also, screw matchups. My most frequent winner, RaidersQTX.OpenNet, with a winrate of 80%+ throughout his career, had 7 Ma/6 Mi/5.5 Mu, and consistently placed in the top 4 of tournaments DESPITE having matchups all at 2.5 or lower. His Calmness was also 5.5, which probably helped during longer series.

If you have a player who is really good at micro and horrible at macro (or vise versa) I'd suggest giving them something which uses their skillset too. However, I find that having somebody with balanced Macro, Micro, and Multitasking is much better than having 1.2 Macro and 9.8 Micro ![]()

But in team tourneys he would show up and even though I had 3 good players he would always show up to drop a game or ruin a series. xD
