This guy is right.. you do actually get one from sitting around... that's why it can often be called spontaneous pneumothorax.. it happens mostly to tall and skinny teenagers (i'll say SC is fairly skinny, not sure about tall). I had one in my sleep on a weekend last year, thought it was just back pain and didnt go treat it for a day and a half, when i went to clinic they told me i had near 100% pneumothorax (the lung was collapsed and shrivelled up like a grape, I let it get worse by not getting it checked out asap). I could only breathe with the other lung, and barely hold my breath. Hopefully his isn't super serious to the point where he needs an actual surgery, what they usually do is a minor operation where they stick a tube in the chest and drain the air outside the lung, if that doesnt work well enough, he'll likely need surgery, which in my experience will likely at least put him back for 2-3 weeks. Doctors usually ask if you tried any drugs or did anything physically straining as sometimes those play a big factor, but for the most part this stuff can happen out of the blue. It might actually be because of high stress levels (maybe even from Starcraft), as I tend to think I got mine from being really stressed at that time, so SC should definitely take a break and relax for a little while after his recovery. | ||
