People saying that he's not good enough to join liquid or eg are obviously forgetting those teams weaker players, all of who fenix is as good as or better. That combined with the fact that he's willing to practice in Korea should make him a good pickup for just about any team. I don't see him joining Liquid though as they have a tendency to recruit the 'fan favourites', the kind of players that are praised by the community. While fenix is a nice guy and not someone anyone dislikes, he doesn't quite have the community support like sheth for instance has. FXO seems already ruled out by FXOBoss, would have been a nice option otherwise. So that leaves EG, coL and possibly dignitas. I don't know if dignitas has some deal set up with startale to let their players practice in their house as Naniwa is. If they do I wouldn't be suprised to see finix end up there. Would be nice to have two foreigners practising with startale. EG is also very possible. Biggest problem is that they already have quite a large roster at this point, even though fenix is arguably better than any of the players eg left behind in the us. coL is also possible, but I just don't feel him ending up there for some reason. Would be awesome if he joined a korean team, but I think dignitas or eg are the most likely destinations for fenix. Either way I hope the best for him and that he really gets to benefit from his determination to go to korea! fenix hwaiting!

- Fnatic has a limited amount of money. - Fenix was getting a salary plus a lot of benefits (like being housed in Korea) from Fnatic. This costs money. - Fnatic didn't feel that Fenix's results warranted his salary + benefits and during the contract negotiations proposed stepping down the salary and/or benefits. - Getting a pay cut is not something most people accept. Fenix is no exception. - Fnatic now uses the money they saved by not re-signing Fenix to recruit a Korean (probably) player(s) who has shown better results. Considering the struggles of many Korean teams financially, Fnatic can probably get significantly better ROI right now by recruiting a Korean than what they got with Fenix. - The "lesser" players on Fnatic are not costing (salary + benefits) what Fenix was asking for. If they are, expect more moves as their contracts expire. As a side note, most teams are trying to recruit the best out there. Very few look at a player on the market and say, "well, he's better than our worst players. Let's get him." No matter the team, those "worst" players have almost all been on the team for a long time and are on contracts from when they were showing good results. When contracts are up, they will either be removed or asked to re-sign for less salary/benefits. Some/most are already on very poor contracts. Best of luck to Fenix, it can be a very tough market if you aren't the "best" (of the moment).

Roald isn't part of FnaticMSI management or the SC2 teams manager, Elroy Pinto and Duran Parsi are the managers of the SC2 team - Elroy is also a General Manager at FnaticMSI. Just so you know...

Edit: Getting paid less always seem disrespectful for the person it happens to, but it's just bussiness. I like the honesty from Roychez.

They don't need to say that he wasn't worth investing in, wasn't a good player, etc. It's enough to say that they couldn't reach an agreement. This isn't how you treat your former players... I definitely lost respect for fnatic after reading these statements. Wow, really? Where did they say that? On the site? The site seems down from me, but I'll check on it from time to time.

Because we all know how much money those Korean teams have.. Im guessing if fnatic wasnt willing to offer fenix the deal he wanted then the Korean teams probably wont even be in able to, let alone willing. Also I dont get all the people now "losing respect" for fnatic. Its not like they fired a guy from the factory and he cant support his 5 crippled children and blind mother anymore. They couldnt agree on a deal, fenix obviously imagines he's going to get a better deal somewhere else anyway or he'd settle for less so he's not going to be overly upset. Both player and team seem happy with this so why arnt some people here?
