It was great to have Fenix in the squad, and he has been a great player for us. Unfortunately we need to be striving towards having the best players in the world to match our ambitions for our team. Fenix lately hasnt been able to prove he has what it takes. So its time to part ways to make room for some new talent to enter our team. We will be picking up some players in the near future so stay tuned..

So sounds like it might not have been Fenix's choice in the end :/

I found this announcement disrespectful. It would be fair to say he wasn`t a good cost/benefit player (which is hard to imagine) or something along this lines, but not that they are parting ways with him because he doesn`t help in the "strive towards the best". Fenix was Fnatics second best player (after Rain, considering Sen is gone) and the one with most potential of growth.

You don`t kick someone out of a team by saying he sucks just when he does well at the GSTL and has long term plans to improve in the game by living in Korea.

How is it disrespectful. Both parties part ways because they can't agree to a new contract.

Good luck in the upcoming match!

Try to repeat your excellent performance from last week and don't let the negotiations for your new team get in the way of your training. :D

The part where they stop just short of calling him a bad player who isn't improving, delivering results, or living up to expectations is sort of disrespectful and/or flat-out incorrect.

Suggesting that Fenix doesn't have what it takes when he's got more SC2 accomplishments and probably more skill than anyone else on the team except Rain isn't disrespectful?
Especially when another Fnatic manager has been posting in the thread saying the reason is a contract disagreement, not a lack of skill.

Exactly. Saying "we want the best and he doesn`t have what it takes", with their current lineup, is either hypocritical or implying that many more cuts are going to come. Just say it is a contract disagreement and move on, instead of bashing him like that. In that sense, I am glad that another managed posted afterwards in this thread clarifying what happened.

Hopefully Fnatic will get some much needed depth to their roster and Fenix find a happy new home.

I think the problem may have been that fenix wanted a said amount of money as a salary, and fnatic was not willing to pay fenix that amount (thus the lack of recent accomplishments comment), either way I am sure fenix will find another team soon, he is a great player.

This is how the annonuncement should be done, "we dont want fenix on the team anymore because he sucks, we have to make room for better players".

Stay classy fnatic.
Never Regret anything because at one time it was exactly what you wanted.

Stay classy fnatic.

They will regret their actions after Fenix joins a korean team and does some massive all-killing or pull a Jinro.
