There will be probably atleast 2 TL in one group. If so, you have to let them play the first matches against each other because if they are playing each other in one of the last few matches, it could be match fixing

We will be having a different format for handling the Open Tournament as well. Please stay tuned for announcements about that! I'm glad you guys are liking the player list we have! I know we couldn't get everyone's favorite player, but we tried our best to get a very compelling and diverse list of talent

No one cries 'watch for match fixing' when team members are in the same MLG pool. Don't see why NASL should be considered any different.

Liquid is probably one of the least likely teams to be cheating, but nonetheless this is a reasonable precaution and there's no reason not to take it, if only to alleviate possible later problems with angry fans.

I just think if the groups are as big as last season, there is a higher chance for matchfixing than at mlg (for example: Player from Team A is undefeated at the first place and he helps his team mate to qualify too, or help him not disqualifying.) But it seems nasl has everything incontrol and has a different format this time. PS: "TL is probably one of the least likely to be cheating" is not really an argument. Tournaments can't really run on trust.

But I wanted to make sure that it is understood that I don't even remotely expect teamliquid to engage in such cheating, while at the same time pointing out that precautionary measures can be sensible for a number of reasons, including ones not related to cheating itself.
