I don't know if anyone saw this yet, becuase i didn't read past the 3rd page... BUT the sc2ranks profile given in the OP has a "season 2" ranking. Please respond to this, it may not be the real yellow after all.

http://sc2ranks.com/kr/3249175/슬레이어스옐로우/season/2

His season 2 reports this account to having tons of games played in 1v1. In project A he had no idea how to even play the game

maybe you should read everything first then?... seriously. There are two versions of SlayersYellow. One is a fake, but the other one is legitimate. The one you posted is fake, which has been posted about 50 billion times now.

In his TIG interview, he says that he got into master league recently, and his division was newly formed, and #1 in his division is SlayersCoca. In SlayersCoca's division, there is only 1 zerg player who 1) joined the day division was created 2) hundreds of games played 3) no record from previous season, which is SlayersYellow.

Its plainly obvious this is the real yellow. His custom games against The Wind and NesTea and everything with his division. We know now that YellOw is at least getting very good at the game fast being masters in Korea. It just remains to be seen if he's high enough level to get past code a qualifiers.

A little off topic, but Project A wouldn't be a good show if Yellow started out well and got into Code A easily.

I mean if Nada and other BW pros (even the failed one) got into Code S since the beginning, why can't he do the same?

I guess time is the obstacle here.

it makes me think/hope his poorness in show 2 was exaggerated (sp?) for dramatic effect, so when he does turn around and make code a we're all like "WOW in ONLY a month"

This is what I hope as well. I will gladly fall for that trick like a drugged up whore falling for a pimp's cocaine at the tail end of a dark and stormy night.

However, I fear that he will play the Code A qualifiers like he does now, and that they will stream it :S Oh well, I can have faith I guess.

Didn't Jessica say that Yellow would be a honorary member of slayer since she was his manager but would be able to start his own team or join another team if he so desired? Maybe I am just living in a false reality but I could swear I read it :S..

Yeah, I find it hard to believe that he is that clueless about the game after playing several games.

I mean i know what a speed upgrade is after one or two games. Not knowing the speed upgrade is like not knowing what an upgrade is.

I'm pretty sure he was given a slayers account to train for the showmatch on.

Yeah you read it in this article: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=252792

I don't think this "SlayersYellow" thing is going to be forever. I feel that Yellow will train with slayers until he's good enough to form his own team.

Thanks for the article. It all but confirms that this is his account.

It was a good read in general. My Korean's terrible but I translated some interesting tidbits (it's ironic because I used bits of google translate to help me understand some of the bits. So all I did was really translate google translate's english in to... english -.-")

*Project A has been received well in Korea
(woohoo! I love that show)
edit - the "woohoo" bit was my own comment lol

*When asked about the Lim Jin Rok
Mostly comments about how he’s bad at Starcraft II, with “rubbish skills”
Even the game I won was really a game BoxeR lost for me
I didn’t think I would win either, but I didn’t expect to lose like that. I thought I strategized enough, and thought that my prepared plays will at least make BoxeR think “wow, look at this guy. He’s got game” and I wanted to get that reaction from him, but instead I got embarrassed. Also, it’s been a while since I’ve been on the big stage, and I got nervous unexpectedly.
(all of these comments made light-heartedly with laughs in between)

*When asked about the stoking of his passion after the showmatch
I don’t know why, but I got really angry. Not at BoxeR, but at myself. In that emotion, I said, “let’s see what happens next time” and now these words have come to haunt me. It was a spur of the moment comment, and I remember going to bed thinking “why did I say that? What did I just say?”, and regretting it. But now that it’s all said and done, I do have to take responsibility, don’t I?

*When asked about Jessica being his agent
People said that I was joining Slayers, but this is not the case. She just manages the Starcraft II aspects of my life, and I could end up playing for Slayers, or by myself, or for another team.
(note this denial, as of 23rd August, means that even if SlayersYellow is indeed his account, he has not joined the team)

*When asked about how he got a farewell and a welcome to Starcraft I/II, but Nada and BoxeR didn’t – is he apologetic to them
Not at all. It’s their own faults. They should’ve done it like I did (laughs). I’m joking. But I wanted to ensure that I ended things right with BW. I spent 10 years with that game, and I couldn’t just end it casually. I had to take care of everything and bring closure and put much effort into that. It’s not that Nada and BoxeR did things wrong, but I just didn’t want to end that way.

*When asked about the differences between BW/SCII
It’s very different. I don’t know if I can compare it in this analogy, but SCII feels like SC with 4 or 5 expansions, and it feels complete. It feels like a similar game, but in order to get as good (he says “learn”) at SCII, you need to put in as much time as you did into SC. Imagine you are playing BW with 2001 builds and trends – this is how I feel currently.
You can’t just approach SCII like it’s the same game. I don’t have a lot of time allotted to me, and I think it’s a short amount of time to try learn a race like Zerg. Hence I haven’t had time to try Protoss or Terran. People think I got to Masters quickly, but I’m still lacking in a lot of ways.
When I played BW, I off-raced frequently. This is necessary to increase your understanding of matchups. (he makes a comment about not knowing how to use a certain type of units and other races’ strategies).

*When asked about his chance of success in Code A (September 3~4)
I’ve improved faster than I thought, and my resolve is the same, but what has changed is my opinion of the preliminary’s player pool. They’re a much higher standard than I thought. I practiced a lot with (younger players) and they are really good. But when I asked them, they said they also have to play in the preliminaries. It brutally showed me the difference in skill between myself and other players.

To the people who think his performance vs BoxeR was faked - if you read the bit in the interview about that showmatch, it really seems genuine - about how he wanted BoxeR to be pleasantly surprised.

Plus the comments on how good his practice partners are, and the kind of language/emotion he used to describe the skill gap between himself and others, all seems to point that he perhaps underestimated how skillful SCII pros were, and that his performance was indeed genuine.

Or maybe that's what I'll just believe so that if he gets code A, I'll be ecstatic, and if he doesn't, I'll shed a tear for him.

Sorry, I might have worded it badly; what he meant was that he felt like he was using 2001 BW builds against current BW pros
(as in he is very far behind other SCII players in terms of strategies and builds)

NO. This was before his showmatch. In his showmatch he looked gold/low-plat. His mutas were of course better than gold, but his macro, droning, decision making, scouting, everything else was really shocking.

he was worse than average gold, believe me. He was truly a bronze

I can't believe there is even an argument about whether he is gold level or whatever.

To put it in perspective, gositerran or sixjaxmajor now played the game in 3 weeks (I think) and made it to the top of the ladder in NA.

I seriously can't believe you are arguing that one of the most successful progamers in BW is a gold leaguer. I really can not fathom how ignorant a statement that is. Oh my god..

For someone who doesn't know the game at all, solely relying on mechanics doesn't necessarily get you past gold in KR server, EVEN if you're YellOw. You also have to remember that YellOw is playing zerg, not terran which I think is easier to get high ranking if you have little game knowledge and just focus on builds.

Also there's a new YellOw account on korea does this have anything to do with him:

Don't let those anti-cheese advocates tell you what to do. Rush to meet life head on!
