It's well documented that HuK has been performing much higher because he left the TL room and started sitting right next to the oGs Protosses, namely MC. This contributed to his wins in Dreamhack and HSC3. Having an online practice partner is not the same as having him sit right next to you in person, discussing strategy, and going over replays 14 hours a day.

Anyone that is worth signing already has been. And my god, if EG signed some unkown Korean player everyone would come here to shit on them, because they went for the higher Korean talent instead of the lower american Also didnt Huk join Liquid AFTER he won an MLG so he was already a solid player then.

If Huk is allowed to go talk to teams then what else would they be talking about then an agreement. Its not like hes going to engage plesentries with them and thats all the communication means.

I'm not trying to cast this in a negative light but it is a concerning parallel considering what happened to EA (their publishing division pretty much collapsed from over-expansion and they had to pull back drastically). Either way, I know HuK is going to do great no matter where he is. Let's try and not make this a Liquid' vs EG thread, but rather a support HuK thread!

EA is not a sports team. They make Sports video games tho.

Not sure if any others have noticed it. I think that HuK was by far Liquid's best player, so this is a very big loss for them. However, Idra is still one of the best foreigners so combining these two as training partners could bring beastly results.

They kept things quiet until they were official, then came out with a great press release that creates hype for their players and improves their brand. There is no open way to attempt to recruit players because rarely do all the parties involved want that information to be disclosed. This is a great press release and EG has all the right in the world to brag, because they want everyone to know they have just signed a top tier player.

I think the question, what about them, is incredibly accurate and answers itself. On topic, I don't see how HuK will foster and develop his talent living in a house with just Idra and Puma. That is far too few practice partners. I guess the korean ladder will have to suffice. This arrangement however will surely improve Idra's game and I'd imagine it would help lonely Puma from having no partners.
