But I would hate to see Liquid going down because of the various issues that come along with having less funds than other teams. I wish I'd be rich or would win the lottery so I could support Liquid and give them what they deserve. Two points: 1. You're going to be working what I assume to be some sort of 9-5 job. This is not something that will become harder the longer you work at it. You show up, don't screw up and will probably end up getting more rewards either in pay or responsibilities as you move up the job ladder. Being a successful progamer, outside of a few anomalies like Nestea, is not something that most people will be able to work at for the rest of their life as a means of supporting themselves (and their families). HuK is doing what's best for him and, honestly, as his fan that's something that makes me happy. I don't want him taking a significant cut in pay just to stay with a team that has more fans. He's still HuK, just EG.HuK instead of Liquid.HuK. So long as he doesn't change his attitude towards practice, his general work ethic and his sense of humor, I'll always be a HuK fan To add to your wonderful response, we dont really know Huks financial situation either, so its hard for us to say "he only did it for the money." Every pro gamer strives for success both on a financial and competitive level, Huk has the wonderful opportunity to continue to do both. Well i think his competitive level will definitely decline, but by how much is the real question. No one can really deny that his training wont be as solid with just idra and puma then it would be if he stayed at the OGS house training. Idra's skill has definitely declined since he left korea to the point where its hard to say if hes even code a level, and Puma although winning NASL and beating some code s players along the way, has not really shown much consistency yet. We will have to wait and see. I still think the Huk will decline because hes moving out is a poor argument. Heres why: 1. His work ethic has proven to be world class. 2. His motivation to improve has been very well documented. I completely agree that training in the oGs house has helped him but its not because of oGs or TL, its because his determination allowed him to milk the opportunity. Not to bash the others but Ret, Tlo, haypro, and even Jinro now, havent been able to be as successful. Even within the deep team of oGs, there are only a few successful players. MC being the leader by far and code S players like top, nada, zenio and maybe supernova but beyond that their roster lacks a lot of consistency as well. Im not going to be naive and say that its a coincidence or that Huk is simply the lucky one. He is where he is because he trains 12 hour days. If his work ethic and his determination doesnt change, theres no reason to believe he will decline at all. Especially because his relationships with the oGs guys appear to be very solid, I doubt they'll abandon him now. LOL REALLY? They wont abandon him? He already abandoned them. Why do you think he already deleted all of oGs off his twitter? If you really think anyone from oGs is going to support HUK in EG when they're partnered with Liquid you're nuts.

I orderd my EG t-shirt and now it will be so much more valuable. Sorry to see you go HuK but life is all about the Benjamines

Teams with Foreign partnerships oGs MVP FXO Prime (sorta)
Teams they probably aren't on good terms with TSL
So
Hoseo WemadeFox IM SlayerS Startale ZeNEX
Hmmmm Slayers, startale and IM probably don't want foreign help, wemade seem to just pick up whatever foreigners who aren't on a team already connected to a korean one so either zenex or hoseo. you gotta think that this is HuKs job. If hes gonna get paid more for doing the exact same job, he'd be retarded to say no.
This can only be good for EG - and i think HuK playing for such long hours might make idra do the same. Hope incontrol makes an appearance at some point

nice piece of new, excellent for esports growth.
cheers EG.HuK and EG.PuMa and EG.IdrA

this what i've been thinking, i don't care if it's not logical or relevant, EG just seems evil in general, and you can't buy talent. I guess honor means too much o me, just like the Starks.

Going to be a pretty limiting practice environment unless they establish some sort of official partnership with a Korean team, which isn't going to be easy. It also makes you wonder if the rest of the team will improve at all.

Lol comparing yourself to the Starks. You live in a fairy tale?
Btw, what was dishonorable about this transfer?

Waking & reading the announcement. D: Meh, this is something along the lines if what I expected, EG need to deal with this issue they have of over-hyping things.(I know this is in part due to the community, but still) Well, this doesn't really concern me overly so, all this is huk's choice and at least from the write up it seems like EG didn't handle themselves moronically this time.
|
Get over yourselves you wouldn't turn down a job offer that was a SIGNIFICANT increase to your livelihood if you had the opportunity. HuK made the right call, going where he could get the most for his talent.

I feel the most vocal EG players have that kind of arrogance but you cannot say all of them are in the same situation. When I think about EG, I think InControl, Idra but also DeMuslim who seems to be a very friendly guy. Don't know much about the others though but I don't feel the whole team has the same mindset.
Edit: also the honor stuff makes me remember of all trades happening in sports in general. Come on they are professionals, people don't spit on you everytime you change your job this should be the same thing here.

Really? This was the announcement? It's kind of a big deal but God EG are such hype-trolls.

You did say Huk was your favorite player right? and you also said that Huk deleted all the oGs members from his twitter right? If you want to be taken seriously you cant make these kinds of posts, you seem like a little whinny school girl.
