Surprising move on some levels, but EG has been judicious in spending their money where they feel they can get the most benefit relative to the cost. It's unfortunate TL couldn't keep Huk, but mostly insofar as this is the TL forums. Otherwise, this deal could be praised for the elevation of EG's roster that it is.

Idra back to Korea and possibly more foreigners is so refreshing. It's honestly way more significant than the acquisition of Huk. I feel that i can respect foreigners that are in Korea so much more. Please EG, get as many players in that house as possible.

EG's policy to acquire already accomplished players doesn't go very well so far... It seems just throwing money at it, doesn't auto-bring more money. That said, hope Greg and Chris to do well.
But my advice to EG is to focus more on building their own players, than on buying accomplished players. The direction towards practice houses is good, and wish them that it creates new stars.

Disagree. Work ethic and talent doesnt grow on trees. If you can secure someone with Huk work ethic you would be stupid to turn away. Theres a reason why certains players are always top notch and certain players are bottom dwellers. If you had to choose between oGsMC and oGsInca, you would be a damned fool to choose Inca.

Wow, that's a great move for EG and an unfortunate situation for Liquid. However, it's good to see both sides respecting each other and the players in this move. This is what the EG.Puma move should have been like, however it seems that Coach Lee didn't want to play it out the way it should have been.

I have no problems with it. Huk's doing what he feels is best for his career and EG are picking up one of the best players in the game right now. Liquid did what they could, but when they realised what the situation would result in they made the right moves to ensure that they had Huk's spot covered and made sure they got maximum value from Huk's expiring contract.

GL HF to EG.Huk, EG and TL.

I hope I never have to meet you in real life Alex, your face would probably meet my fist.

Are you seriously threatening physical violence towards someone for injecting money into ESPORTS?

As for the rest, it's a nice announcement. US house + KR house, real nice.

Just look up Alex's history. He doesn't give two shits about building e-sports or fostering a community around respected players, it is only about $$ to him. No doubt it is great for Huk that he is getting more money, but I can't condone the type of underhanded business tactics that Alex has employed, and continues to employ, to get his way.

WTF are you talking about seriously? It was a mutual agreement by EG AND TL. TL let EG talk to HuK, how's that underhanded? Calm the F down and think for once!

While this doesn't *technically* live up to the hype of the last couple days, i'm still pretty fucking excited.

Great pickup by EG, can't wait to see how the three of them do in korea! This means that IdrA will be in the GSL again right? I'm sure Zenio will be angered to see he's not actually dead.

Did EG really make a freaking countdown to this and hype it up like crap? IMO I don't think something like this should be hyped especially as they knew what the community response would be.

I hate EG's take on their team and throwing money at anyone who wins a tournament. I wish Huk the best of luck, but this is a big blow and Liquid, and from the "Farewell Huk" article it seems Nazgul is a bit bitter at EG - and rightfully so :/

I don't know why they're turning it into an "OMG RIVALS UNITEEEE" with IdrA in their video..

Trust EG to hype a completely dick move for 2 days as if it was the second coming.

I'll read your announcements when your players actually win something during their time in EG.

Everything you've ever done in your history has been over the green table and leeching from successful teams and organizations that actually create something.

As long as Idra and Artosis start doing Imbalanced again I will be fine with this.

I'm disappointed Huk is leaving but as long as Jinro, Tyler, and TLO are still on TL it will always be my favourite team.

They need a better Zerg practice partner if it's going to work. Sorry to say, but currently, Idra is A class at best. He's no where near the level of Morrow, Sheth, Ret, Sen and Dimaga currently and I think it will take a while in Korea for that to change ;_;

So why can't people just admit he is doing this for the money?
