For example, I really like it that moletrap usually has some statisics or information about the players, but moletrap can't duo-cast. My favorite duo is probably wolf and doa. But torch was really good come with both of them aswell.

Herculix United States946 Posts August 27 2011 09:28 GMT #331 wolf is really the only viable single choice to me. i would heavily prefer torch and/or qxc, and together they could actually be a really good combination, but they both have major obligations that make that situation impossible. i don't like any of the other caster choices but wolf is by far the closest to becoming someone i can appreciate casting-wise, but he still needs to work harder.

It's hard to get really good insight into the game, and you get that by being at the top (or near the top) of the game. Day9, Artosis, Tasteless - they've all been on the top during Broodwar and are still pretty good players in SC2 and they know the game pretty well. Kelly is still improving but knows things mainly from a Zerg perspectiive. Day9, Artosis, and Tasteless all played random at one point, and all still experiement with all 3 races. QXC only plays Terran, but he'll know things very well from a Terran perspective (and a majority of Code A is Terran, which helps him out). But you also need energy and charisma to be a caster. I haven't seen QXC casting (or I don't remember it well), but I'd rather have a caster that knows what he's talking about than one who spews anything out of his mouth with tons of energy (you know the ones I'm talking about). I'd even take Husky over many of these people because although he doesn't know as much about the game as Day9, Artosis, and Tasteless, he knows quite a bit from always watching all 3 races, he has an incredible amount of energy, and he has a very positive and funny attitude. Match Husky with someone who REALLY knows the game (Day9) and you really have something going there. But Day9 has the energy, the hilarity, and the knowledge... Hard to beat that. But Artosis and Tasteless interact extremely well together... While also having knowledge... They aren't too great on their own, but together they're AMAZING. Wolf has really made it work though, even casting on his own... He's pretty good and there's no reason to lose him unless someone much better comes along. He's pretty much my second choice.

DoA is sort of a pro too so I would prefer Wolf + Doa if we can't have anyone else other than moletrap. Basically I would prefer khaldor / wolf or something but DoA will do Moletrap just doesn't have synergy with people like wolf, whereas wolf does has synergy with doa
