The Korean community has no right to be angry.
If they would just start watching SC2 to the same extent as the foreign community, then these players wouldn't actually have to go outside of Korea looking for a paycheck.
Good point, actually.

I can't believe some of these people. What's wrong with EG doing this? Doesn't anyone care about what is best for the player and not some manager? Puma did not have a contract with TSL as far as I know. Puma is not TSL's slave where somebody has to contact the slave owners if they want to buy him.
|
hahahaha. at least EG gets someone aside from IdrA out of all this? now they may post some results.
|
Wait... wat?
Sure, korea is a huge e-Sports country and all, but they act like they're the only ones interested in eSports. I don't get this. TSL should just accept that their player is no longer interested in Korea.

wow HUGE pickup for evil geniuses.... he'll only make a strong team even stronger! congrats guys

It's pretty clear EG gave him a better offer and he took it..woopdie doo. Koreans need to realize that eSports is not a family, it's business. In the end these kids want to receive a lot of compensation for what they're doing every day and PuMa's certainly no stranger to that. If EG offered more $, good on him to take it.

Well eventually there will probably be some more rigid rules for this kind of "trading", but if they didn't legally do anything wrong, then more power to EG. I think it was a natural move that eventually foreign teams and korean teams would start mixing heavily and I'm positive it'll work out the best for both parties, and esports will get more entertaining overall.
|
i dun like it.... something seems shady about it especially the way the tsl coach reacted
|
I don't see the big deal. They talked to Puma while he was there to see if he'd be interested. He goes back to korea and lets his coach know that he'd like to move to EG, coach lets him go.

Will he be training with Incontrol, Axslav and LzGamer?

Even if everyone watched SC2 it wouldn't generate as much money as the foreign scene. It's one country vs the rest of the world, which also happens to be backed up by more and more gigantic sponsors as well.

You have to wonder how this will impact everyone else on the team...will they get better because they are training with a top tier korean? Will Puma get worse because he is training with foreigners? Will Idra rage quit EG because he's not the top dog anymore?
|
More Koreans will follow. Playing in the west is just more interesting. They get better money and see other countries. Better than sitting at home and hoping winning one big tournament.

Thats mega huge. Seriously, wow. Also, why does there need to be a system in place to keep foreign teams "stealing" players? Korean teams could just as easily offer foreign players a salary and ask them to join their team could they not?
Edit, they could offer their own players salaries. I can understand the talk to the coaches of the team thing but thats a very eastern philosophy so theres not much that can be done now thanks to cultural differences

I think the only practice partner he'll be satisfied with is IdrA but glgl Puma Good to see more and more Koreans getting involved in the foreign scene

I think the whole point is to make everyone better and have everyone as good as Idra is now or better so it makes sense.

So now Puma is alone and stuck practicing the ladder all day, I wonder if this move actually lessened his chances to win a tournament now that he wont have a team to practice with in korea.
|
To bad i guess we will not see Puma in GSL anytime soon, something i was looking forward to. I don't know how those nagotiations went to the exact point, but i understand if the coach was not approached he is mad about it. I am sure EG knows how things work in Korea.
On Puma's perspective, this for him is an incredible opertunity to make good money, if he get's to join tourney's with only few korean's or even non his chance of winning will increase dramaticly.
