So that korean teams could continue to treat their kids like slaves? you're right, in sc1 puma probably wouldnt get a salary or get sent to foreign events by their team.

Sucks for the up and coming westerners though... EDIT: It will take me over an hour to read the entire thread, has EG made a press release yet?

I think the bigger thing to consider is how the management of the SCII pro scene will react; will the continue to send players to foreign events? Will partnerships like the oGs-Liquid' house become viable if the higher ups in Korea start to mistrust their foreign counterparts?

After this, Korean teams might actually start treating their players as assets and not as slave workers, and that's only a good thing. Gogo Puma. no. current teams in Korea provides players of their environment to practice. your point could have applied to SC1 scene. but SC2 in Korea is small at the moment and a lot of teams are funded privately by the team owner with no sponsor. although, TSL does have quite a bit of sponsor line up, please dont generalize all team owners as being pigs using players as slaves. there is just not much of money circling around SC2 scene atm.

if it's what puma wants they she'd be happy for him, and that he's getting to experience the world via the EG house.. honestly.. if i was in korea i think it'd be legit to move in with a foreign team, the same way as me as an american would be thrilled to move in with a korean team.

On topic: I don't know the entire story but I can imagine TSL being quite pissed. We'll see how this plays out.

They do? then it sure was not enough to keep someone like Puma, nor they cared enough to keep him with a counter offer. Sad for them, good for Puma.
