It's also not the best way to get your opinion across. I could care less, I hate being disrespected and she did that. Then again, she sounds like a stuck up bitch. You're taking it a little personally, aren't you? You could care less, and yet you come here to complain about it. I see how it goes.
Anyways, I find it funny that TL was behind her when she was defending Boxer after that one article was published, but now that she's defending Eve from, IMHO, harsher words and attacks, people suddenly think she's overreacting at best and a bitchy control freak at worst. Guess that's how people roll, though.

If you can't take the heat, take the back seat. This stuff happens everywhere. In every business, school, event, etc. Trolling, anger and jealousy will always arise, but you have to learn to take it and move on.

Yeah but as a female kind of in the spotlight right now would you say its cool for her coach to let it slide that people are putting her face on pictures of nude models? Gotta admit if I was a chick and someone was doing that I would probably flip out and leave the gaming scene completely, there's only so much a person can handle. Name callings one thing but that stuff is very strange imo.

Not much to say. She wasn't ranting so much as speaking to the one Korean person who accused of persecuting someone for simply criticising SlayerS. Not sure she wasn't using mentions or @ but it might be because I couldn't find that tweet user when I looked for her earlier.
Jessica will be releasing a statement directly to TL or twitter in the coming hours.
I wasn't aware of the full situation myself but having read parts of it just now, the clarification it brings makes the OP of this thread redundant. It seems that TL members have been misled.
Perhaps when this happens, the mods would be kind enough to allow a new thread to be opened with a new OP that explains the situation quite clearly.

Or you could actually try and do something about it and not just "learn to take it". You are not just a bystander of your environment, you can actually choose what to accept or not.
I suggest people listen to Leah's and Artosis' comments during the last State of the Game. Korea is another culture, and they have a different take on internet harassment than one might be used to.
I personally respect Jessica for standing up and saying enough is enough.

Reading some of the translated tweets, especially the private one with the girl, makes her really seem a little crazy.
I mean, progamers get stuff like this all the time, for losing and stuff. She made a pretty controversial decision, so it's kinda expected that she would get flak for it.
The way she replied to some of the tweets, if I didn't know who she was, I'd have thought she was some kind of troll or something. ><

The UK is notorious for taking the faces of others and putting them on nude bodies. When you're in the spotlight, it's how it goes. It's happened for years and years. Look at roman history for instance, you have two things that happened. Julius Caesar' and Clodius Pulcher disliked one another. The rumors spread that Pulcher was banging caesar' wife, but Caesar handled it like a gentleman, while Pulcher made himself look like a fool. You need to know how to handle certain situations.

My thoughts are that shes justified in targeting some of the more abusive posters. BUT she has massivly over reacted and has herself become quite abusive to some people who didnt deserve it such as the young girl who has since deleted her twitter account, and possibly the guy the Hang thingy guy, dont remember his name

This is one of the biggest reasons such a law was enforced in Korea.
The likes of such actions AND consequences do not really exist anywhere else in the world as far as I am aware.
someone in the forums asked why Jessica, a celebrity/actress, would not have more control and be willing to ignore the trolls and the reason is BECAUSE she is an actress. She knows, better than anyone, how damaging these criticisms can be. They don't just post in their own forums, might I add. In certain situations, I've seen these people storm to the actress/celebrities' WEBSITE and post things like "hey, your singing is awful, you should hang yourself" and "why bother singing, when you can just show your breasts." Why not censor it in their website? In that particular occasion, it was posted so often & so frequently that a person would have to be deleting all day 24/7. People's careers literally get ruined over this every year. Sometimes, you really can't ignore them and hope they disappear, because they will just keep at it even if it's absolutely ridiculous. Sometimes ignoring them is the worst way to go about it, and I think Jessica recognizes that, especially in Eve's case, because her career is just starting.
I don't approve of some of Jessica's decisions - namely, putting Eve on the bench at the GSTL when she's only a trainee and won't play for several weeks - but the community's reaction to SlayerS recruiting Eve is fucking disgusting for the most part. No, Jessica shouldn't have put her on the bench, but that doesn't justify treating Eve like shit when she hasn't done anything to warrant such behavior - and I honestly don't think that having your face photoshopped to the body of a porn star is in any way acceptable under any circumstance. Nobody has even seen her play, for god's sake, and yet, quite a lot of people are already attacking her simply for being on the damn team.
Furthermore, just because it happens doesn't make it right, and I'm shocked that more people just can't grasp this concept.

Or to armchair judge her.
Or to sit on the fence and say "harassment isn't ok and she overreacted"
Or to dismiss her as one of many vulgarities just because of a few actions by her that may or may have not been misconstrued, but let's judge guilty before innocent.

I wonder if South Korea has something about countersuing for malicious prosecution.

It happens to celebrities or people in the lime-light, it's not okay but it's not a big deal considering the advantages or relative success that these people experience, dumb shit like this shouldn't affect them. I may have been slightly more irked if it were someone under-age but honestly at that age how difficult is it to look past this nonsense and say, "I'm on one of the best Starcraft 2 teams in the world, recruited out of gold league, I sat next to a pretty famous coach at the GSTL at the player's bench, life's good, people must be envious as hell"?
I don't feel too bad for her, I don't feel bad for Beiber when I see some random jackass posting about the size of his penis, I'm sure there are tons of photoshopped pictures of him blowing dudes, taking it from behind... Blowing dudes while taking it from behind. Who gives a fuck? Even at his age people would be envious as fuck, it comes with being in the spotlight in entertainment. I'd really only feel bad for children who have it thrust upon them at young age and have to deal with it growing up...
She's 21, look the fuck past it. Report anyone making threats or attempting to defraud you, you don't need a mother-figure manager going after anyone who says anything mean with a vengeance. Jessica is absolutely over-reacting which is quite surprising particularly how she's parading it under her statements of protecting children from abuse. This is where I feel there may be a number of cultural aspects I'm not understanding. I'm sure Jessica is under a lot of stress but her response so far has been a little off-putting to me.
