What a shame if that could ever happen on our beloved internet.
I think it's pretty disgusting, people shouldn't have some kind of right to not be offended. Being offended is a choice, as is ignoring it and moving on with what actually matters.

still not as disgusting as having a "lets police everything" mindset
and for the record, people are much bigger assholes in real life than anything you will ever see on the internet.

why doesn't boxer tell her that she's hurting ESPORTS?
|
She probably feels a "motherly obligation" to protect her, I can theorize why she would want to protect her. At the same time it seems like she is trying to spearhead more than just the defense of one of her players- something bigger... hmm.

Jessica should react classy and not angry.

In real life you can also get those people in trouble for abuse and defamation. That's what she's doing now. Are you just arguing for the sake of it? There are consequences for your actions.

You guys are going too far. I said it before and I'll say it again: You don't know all facts, so why are you creating such dumb comments?

It´s the internet.
What she is doing is absolutely ridicolous. Things posted on the internet are like thoughts, and seriously, I can´t see any good come out of this. I truthfully hate SlayerS after this incident. From my second or third favorite team to my most hated, just because people like her bug me.
The thing is, if I walk on the street, and somebody calls me an gay asshole, okay, he´s annoying but that doesnt give me the right to go kill his family. It´s not like these people are stalking her online or anything. In a democratic country don´t I have the freedom to say anything besides saying I am going to murder people etc, but it´s only words and really she needs to learn not to get offended by that. Just how you don´t bring some drunk punk to the cops because he called you a fucker.
I think this will just bring a troll uprising, and she will really be disliked. Either way Im really sad theres still people out there, especially on the online community that take certain problems this far.

So the internet is a place you can say whatever you want without consequences? If a person continues to hurl abuse at you and makes images defaming your character then in a democratic country you have the freedom to take lawful action against that person. The internet should be no different.

Sorry, I live in Canada. What am I not allowed to say here IRL?

Maybe haters should act classy instead of shopping Eve's pic to porn.

Abuse and defamation are not the same as just insulting someone, try looking up what those words really mean then get back to me.
Everybody who enters the spotlight should be prepared to deal with people who are going to hate on them for no good reason, you just gotta learn to deal with it unless you're Kim Jong-il, then you can just try to kill them all.

As some other people said, this kind of thing can be totally illegal in Korea. Can you blame Jessica for following the laws EVEN if it's overreacting?
Don't ask me that. I absolutely hate people who hide behind laws that I view as wrong and unjust, this law would be an example of that because I believe in free speech. Sure they may just be trolling but it should be their right to say what they want even if what they say is stupid.
Even if you're against a law, the law still exists and you must follow it.

So photoshopping naked images of other people with Eves face on is not defamation or abuse?

Sure they may just be trolling but it should be their right to say what they want even if what they say is stupid. Show nested quote + Maybe that's true, but that doesn't mean it should be true. I don't like the defeatist attitude of 'oh people are trolls on the internet and always will be', because guess what, this is our community, and each person is a part of that community. Don't you want it to be the best community that it can be? That's why the mods work so hard. In real life things like this would not be tolerated. Sexual harassment is on a whole different level than Incontrol or Idra calling someone out (even though that's still dumb).
How is it different in real life? I can walk up to someone and say "you're gay" and as long as it's not like, in a corporate work place there are not going to be any repercussions unless the person I say it to wants to attack me. Like I said before, I find it sickening to want to hide behind the law to keep people silent for saying things you personally don't want them to say, regardless of whether what they say is ignorant or wrong.
Freedom of speech wasn't included as a human right so that people can flame mindlessly without fear of repercussions. What those people are saying isn't stupid, its harmful and malicious. Even if you're an advocate for free speech you can't seriously support verbal harassment, especially of this magnitude.
And if you think about it, freedom of speech is something you're born with that no one can take away. There isn't really a point in time where you are physically unable to voice your opinion. The people that are going to be arrested still voiced their opinion, they are just being punished for being assholes afterwards.

After reading so many comments in this thread it's clear that most have not read the full OP + clarifications. I don't see how you could tolerate people doing what they did do Eve... It's disgusting and straight up malicious.
