No, not all zergs use that model, only specific high-level ones. The rest of us are not good enough for that model.

I love this.

One needs to be "Roaches" across the whole keyboard too = )

But ontopic, u must either A. play stupid amounts (stupid amounts compared to koreans as well...) or your mashing ur buttons just a bit too much = )

The 1 and A keys seem to be in too good condition for it to be a zerg keyboard.

My first G15 did that on WASD space and a couple other keys. Second one was still perfect after years. I don't really get it. Someone told me its the oils from your skin or something.

I play Protoss and my most worn key is the F key, mainly because how hard I hit it.

It's usually something like the following:

ZOMG RAVEN, FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF (while still getting into range) click
ZOMG ARMY, FFF CLICK FF CLICK F CLICK FFF CLICK

if you want to build mass zerglings don't push z for every two zerglings just hold the z key down until you run out of minerals! I learned this trick some months into my sc2 carrier...

My Z, C, and V keys are getting worn out.

I make too many zerglings, creep tumors, and injections

No, seriously, it's probably because I use the tip of my finger to press those bottom layer keys, ,thus resulting in my fingernails scraping them.

BTW I use a Filco Majestouch 108-key with cherry browns. I might need new replacement keys soon.

The 5 key ( or whatever key you use for your hatch) is unworn, 1 and A are unworn. E is unworn, as well as R. Either you 6 pool allot and don't use hotkeys for anything but making your units, or you just purposely did this.

You dont play zerg , yes ? then chill and stop write dumb post.
Even banelings are not A move , like terran bio , you must macro them , to get better hits.. etc same whit roches.. you must work to get good position all the time becasue of short range etc
If you think diffrent you must be bronze or silver

I think the Q button needs to be more worn out, because the more worn out the D button is the Q frequency will be.

I giggled very much.

I wonder how the actionlist would look if you actually wrote down the clicks of the three races in the midgame.

and to the person feeling obligated to say "thats what they did" no, because there are no pylons, stalkers, zealots, maruaders, scvs, mules or supply depots in those clicks.

I want to see every click, make it happen, NOW!

Maybe learn to type without looking on the Keyboard than? No offense, it is just a lot easier when you know where the keys are

Yes that's why. The current Apple Keyboard (the one with laptop-style flat keys) and the previous model have laser-engraved key letters. They will not wear out short of you pouring acid on them. Most "high quality gaming" keyboards just have the letters glued on. Go figure

Laser etched is okay but not the best dye sub and injection molding is better. Most high end gaming keyboards like steelseries 6Gv2 do use laser etching. I've had one for 3 years no problems.

But the picture is wrong, having hatches on 5 is clearly superior so you can have 1-4 for your army. Duh.

My most worn key (that wasn't shift) was S, with D in close second. I've got a new keyboard now though, and I'm playing random, so we'll see how that turns out.

5 = Hatchery

Actually, "lol yes". Apple keycaps aren't cheap clear keycaps painted black. They don't wear out in the same manner as the subpar keyboard shown in the OP. From what I've seen, they use the dye sublimation method of printing keys.

The s, d and z keys are so overused because Zerg players rarely get into the mid/late game.

Actually, "lol yes". Apple keycaps aren't cheap clear keycaps painted black. They don't wear out in the same manner as the subpar keyboard shown in the OP. From what I've seen, they use the dye sublimation method of printing keys.

As with other Apple products a lot of thought and care is focused on aesthetics.

And not much else. That "subpar" keyboard I guarantee will out last your white shiny piece of shit.

Are you talking to me? When did I say I owned an Apple keyboard? I'm no Apple fanboy, so I don't get where the animosity is coming from. The only thing worse than Apple fanboys is ignorant hatred for their products. An Apple scissor switch keyboard is superior to the extremely cheap rubber dome keyboard in the OP, that's just a fact. It doesn't get much worse than clear keycaps painted black.

Both of these are obviously far worse than any mechanical keyboard on the market.

In sc1 my D and Z keys got completely rubbed black and then eventually didn't pop back up after pressing the key. I had to replace it but I keep it around like a trophy.

Start using grid hotkeys, then you can wear out Q and E also.

My keyboard is a bit similar... Its quite cheap, only 7 months old, but the keys that are "broken" are clearly starcraft related and strangely, it all tracks back to zerg, not my play as protoss.

Completely unreadable keys: S, shift, V, B. C is a little scratched, but not a single mark on any other key whatsoever... S is from insane use + finger positioning, V/B/C is because I use my thumb at an angle which guarantees the nail to touch, regardless of length...
Broken keys: D, Z, R... need those drones, lings and roaches. The keys get stuck quite often, which is insanely annoying and I'm currently looking into getting a new keyboard.

I feel like those must be shitty keyboards or something? I have played daily since beta (Zerg) at around 130-140 APM and I have zero wear-and-tear. Strange..

It's not his APM that wore those keys down it's his tendency to SMASH them.

I had the same keyboard for awhile and the same thing happened to mine. The keyboard itself is decent, but the paint over each key wears off incredibly fast like in the picture. After a couple years like half the keys on my keyboard looked like how they do in that picture. ;(

dont worry about it man, you're probably just not hitting the keys as hard as them, i played sc:bw for 4 years and sc2 for 1 all on the same keyboard (random dell one) i've played about 1.5k sc2 games total and 5-6k bw games and my letters are fine
(~350apm in bw, near the end, it gradually went up lol)
(~260apm in sc2, less stuff i see to do, and more lag on average)

Actually if you have 260 apm in SC2 its the same because you have to multiply by 1.4. I'm just wondering what the heck you're doing in a game to get that much apm.

You dont play zerg , yes ? then chill and stop write dumb post.
Even banelings are not A move , like terran bio , you must macro them , to get better hits.. etc same whit roches.. you must work to get good position all the time becasue of short range etc
If you think diffrent you must be bronze or silver

you definitely you gotta macro those banelings to get better hits

i use a filco 10keyless keyboard for the past 7 months playing somewhere around 6 hours a day on average and my keys havent faded at all with somewhere around 120 average apm. i think it has something to do with the letters being etched into the key instead of painted on.

i use hotkeys to check things a lot, as well as i just try to get every little thing i possibly think would help me done, if i see a way to do something slightly better that takes a few apm then i'll try to add it in while still doing everything else, a lot of it is multitask trying to do as much as i can, in bw i storm dropped whenever i saw the opportunity in PvT lategame...now in sc2 im working on incorporating storm drops (PvZ too since im taking map control with phoenix :D) I generally just try to make sure i know what everything is doing at all times which is where most of my apm comes from i think.

It's not, I used to have the same keyboard and the same thing happened to almost half the letters on it after about 2 years. The way it's painted on is just poorly done. The actual keyboard itself is alright, though.

It also has to do with your body chemistry and what kind of process the plastic goes through to get the legends on- there are several different ways.

There are people who have filcos for a month and get shiny caps, and some who have the same filcos and have their caps just like new for years :/

i have had the Steelseries 7g mechanical keyboard for only a few weeks and the s key is already starting to fade out, so this is acctuarly false, its about how much you click and how hard you click the buttons, it will fade on pretty much all keyboards, but it will fade slower or quicker depending on how frequently you use the key and how hard you press it.

My keyboard, I don't play SC with it and I've had it for approx 3,5 years, but I do have no life.

Broken keys, I press the empty spot where the key was to press the key (yes its hard): I, O, leftarrow, rightarrow
Keys that have worn off completely: a, s, d, n, m, k, l, p.. Starting to happen to multiple others too but at least I don't mind because I never look at my keyboard when typing.
There's a small hole in my N key (wtf how do I get a hole into plastic by playing) and the right side of my spacebar has a pretty big dent in it from all the times I've pressed it.
