One of us is missing something. My understanding is that it doesn't have to do with the fact that she is a girl... but the fact that she doesn't have the skills to play on SlayerS level. Being on a team isn't the same as getting a Code A spot...
Either way, I agree it really isn't a big deal. (unless, once again, I am missing something)

I think this is a good thing really.
It does annoy me a little that this is such a big talking point just because of her gender.
She is just the same as any other new recruit being given some booth time in the team league. What is the big deal just because she is female. SC2 does not require physical strength and therefore there is no real advantage to being male so why can't the girls join in?
I wish her the best of luck though thing will be hard with so much attention on her.. She should have shaved her head and pretended to be a guy :D

They gave this girl too much of a burden... being the first "true" female programer of Sc2 will make her an example.
If she succeds it's gonna be awesome for everyone.
If she fails it's gonna nullify the probability of new female programers for like forever.
Let's be honest here: I 100% agree with the decision of taking her basing ALSO on her looks not only because of korean culture that, kind, of demands that but also because, as I said, she's an example now and for the good of the outcome she cannot be ugly even if skilled (don't confuse me here, i would bow to a programer girl even if ugly).
The real problem is that I'm not sure if she's really skilled... league aside she probably is a galaxy light year distance behind her male opponents as time spent practicing and even with the help of a team such as SlayerS she cannot reach a decent level any time soon, ESPECIALLY this gstl.
As a business choice it was great but it can probably bite them back in the ass.

Well, I've played some on the Korean ladder. On EU I'm a low/mid masters, on NA im mid/high and on Korea I'm an average diamond, have even faced some masters player. And I'm light years away, from even having a chance in MLGs open bracket or anything similar.

getting a free ride to code A in expense of people like DRG, Bomber, etc is much a special treatment compared to just wearing a team jersey and sitting in the bench of GTSL without even playing
