Anyways, I hope she does well because that will bring a larger audience to starcraft, let alone E-sports, and I feel like they wouldn't have picked her up for looks alone.
(For the record, i do not find her attractive, but she gets +10 awesomeness for being on Slayers) Not wrong with thinking about it, but some thoughts are you supposed to keep to yourself or share with ppl you know that think the same.

I really just wanted to say they signed her to help cheer up MMA/get him out of his slump =).

You say we shouldnt treat her differently because she is a girl but she already is getting teated different i mean im gold league and i dont see any pro teams wanting to snap me up.

If her gameplay was at all a significant factor (and not just picking a cute chick basically at random), it's possible she has good game sense, tactical thinking, and/or micro, and just needs training in macro, build orders, etc.
Who knows, though, it could be purely a publicity stunt. Be interesting to see how it turns out.

You SHOULDN'T think sexually about every woman you meet, if you did I'd be worried for you. You should think sexually about every sexy woman you meet. That's normal.

Are people SERIOUSLY questioning Boxers ability to scout talent?

Actually, I heard that looks was a major factor in most of the players GO/CJ team has chosen over the years (Nal_rA, Xellos, ForU, Savior, Iris, etc...)
Source: I heard it from Coach Cho Gyunam in one of the specials that OGN ran on coaches.

So hot =P E-Sports will have a new face > XD

So after reading Jessica's post, she's just a trainee anyways. Why do people care so much about judging her skill? Just because she happened to sit on the team bench at GSL? They wouldn't give a shit if it was some random guy trainee sitting at the team bench to watch his team. It's like there's some eye candy in the sausage fest and people have to stir up shit for the dumbest reasons.

Well, this isn't necessarily Boxer's ability, but Jessica's. With what I've read about their relationship, I would be surprised if Boxer had any input at all
We haven't seen her play yet so it's impossible to know anything, but the fact that Jessica stated she chose her for 'skill and looks' is worrisome to some people.
Hoping for the best, though. Would be a big boon to eeeesports if she was actually good.

Pretty sure the requirement of slayers clan is masters league and she ends up in the team despite only being gold. Unfair much?

I'm in gold, I wish I could get recruited by SlayerS :D

Good luck Eve! Alwyas nice to see new faces!

SlayerS_Jessica herself scouted based on her skills and looks.
Why e-sports is not a real sport: Sports teams do not recruit based on looks.

No, but the popularity of a player has been known to influence recruiting even in football (americans, read; soccer). Take David Beckham for example. He was a really good player. But when Real Madrid bought him from Manchester United, they payed an amount that at first sight would have appeared to be way to much. But since he has such a large, personal fanbase all over the world, and in Asia in particular, they deigned it worthwhile. To procure more fans for themselfs with the invested money, and also to get some back through jersey sales.
Looks or popularity does not matter. Publicity stunts like this happens in other sports as well, and done correctly it's a very, very smart thing imo. Small risk, potentially high reward.
