Also season 2 maps are bad (slag pits, delta quadrant, backdoor gulch, crap station..), season 3 maps can't be worse by all means.

Apparently David Kim is considering getting rid of close position maps entirely with Season 4, since they don't work. I don't know why he's putting maps like that in for Season 3 when he knows they're not great, but I imagine it's because Blizz is a huge-ass company that takes FOREVER to make even simple decisions (if you don't work with large companies, dude, you don't even fucking know how slow they are).

There are far worse maps in the pool atm, i kinda like TalDarim. Slagpits or crapstation just gotta go.

This could lead to an interesting socio-economic debate...democracy can only function - in theory - if the majority of the people are capable of understanding the subject they are voting on ![]() This aside, I'm not too worried about Tal'darim. Blizz has explicitly stated they want to maintain the 3/3/3-system of rushbased, "normal", and macro-based maps. So noobs who only want to all-in each and every game can downvote the macro-maps....nobody gets hurt. If such thing was to determine which maps Blizz provides, then we would be playing 9 different versions of steppes of war.

So, if you like play the Season 2 ladder maps, cherish what time you may have left. Anyone think that we might see a round of bans coming with the new season as well, given the recent very-public drop-hacking of top GM players? Top GM players? Am I wrong in thinking that most of these hackers used trial keys to make new accounts under the nicks of well-known pros such as LiquidHaypro and then use drophack on those accounts? And that it was not the real pros themselves

As far as I can see we have Tal'Darim and then Metalopolis and Shakuras can be, depending on which spawns you get. Thats not really 3 when you consider that 2 of them become the most rush favouring maps in the pool with certain spawn positions.

I saw a fake LiquidHuK facing iNcontroL on his stream and I'm sure many more genuine pros have faced the hackers.
