It is highly recommended that your read this entire thread - at least until page 10. If you make uninformed opinions that have been answered by the thread, col management or Destiny, you will be banned.

I feel like this thread should just be named "Destiny didn't join Complexity."

Too much drama over something so small. Destiny committed without really wanting to, and now it's resolved. Move along, nothing to see here. =P

Good luck.

Well IdrA doesn't spew racist, sexist, or homophobic insults . . . he just says things to individual people like calling them fucking skilless newbies or doesn't gg.

Seems like you have no idea what you're talking about.

Idra doesnt play P.....You got one of the many fake idra's my friend...

Destiny isn't a great player, he's a good player, but he doesn't belong on EG, TL, or any other high end team.

how so?

Incontroll

i agree with him saying this will be a nice opportunity. In the previous questions on stog and djwheats shows you were well spoken about destiny's language on stream. I think this will give destiny a chance to look back upon those questions and possibly connect and rethink if he was wrong or right.

He has extremely toned down since joining EG and I don't think he has said anything really bad since the start of 2011.

Can't believe someone can say this considering they don't even know Destiny at all.. So you are happy that some dude you don't even know isn't on Complexity? Makes no sense..

I can't say I'm surprised. Destiny is really more of a SC2 celebrity rather than a professional SC2 gamer. A competitive team is not the right fit for him.

he played P in beta, but i don't know when that's from. About the whole coL hate, isn't it just ridicoulus? They try to support e-sports and sc2, why would u hate em? Losing Destiny was so obvious anyway, that and the fact that he hasn't had any good results offline, don't see him being a good addition to any team. Hopefully he will keep having loads of stream-viewers for people who like him.

It's nice to hear both sides of the story although they still seem somewhat contradictory. I guess in the end all that matters is that everyone got what they wanted. Destiny was able to remove himself from the team without getting in trouble for breach of contract. More importantly, the situation didn't cause the Complexity acquisition of ROOT to fall through.

Again, good luck to Destiny in the future.
Even during difficult times, when I sat down to play the game, there were times where it felt like god has descended down and played [for me].

Insane the amount of dislike for complexity some people have. I'll still root for you guys!

Also best of luck to Destiny, hope he finds a new team.

I think its a shame that Destiny wasn't able to move along with his ex-ROOT mates but given Destiny's explanation of the situation I think the way he acted was fair. Given the small amount of time he had to decide, agree was the safer option for the whole team. As JoshSuth said above this post title is adding more drama to something that isn't really very dramatic. It shouldn't reflect badly on either Destiny or Complexity who both have done what they think it right for them.

I hope Destiny gets himself a team for support, yes, he is very outspoken, but its good to have some members of the community who are close to the bone.

I wouldn't conform my opinions and silence myself either if that is what a team wanted me to do. Screw "The Man".

edit: Just read Destiny's post. You gotta do what you find best for yourself. Nice of you not to screw over your team and sign the contract even though you didn't want to. >_<

It's a shame it the Complexity people expressed it in that way, like Destiny had done something unexpected and shameful.

While breaching the contract is obviously wrong, and both going their separate ways seems like the right thing to do, did they actually expect him to stop doing what he does?

Like it or not, that's the guys job, he wouldn't be here if he weren't like that, and I think it's pretty clear that being a streamer is above being a progamer as long as he has to support a familiy.

So yes, breaking the contract is bad and all, but it doesn't look like Destiny did something he doesn't do all the time, what did they seriously expect?

It looks like they either didn't know the player they were signing or I'm missing some other information.

idra played P in the early beta. Given that this replay was from lost temple and didn't have the hide progress option on replays, it seems reasonable that this video was made with one of those early beta replays

On topic: too bad this whole deal went down the way it did, but it seems like it got resolved without anyone getting too upset. gl to both parties in the future

I can assure you that I have personally spoken with Steven over the past week. I sincerely wanted him to remain on the team but we were given no real option. He refused to participate with the team. Also, it was our full intention on allowing him to speak his mind on his stream but within certain boundaries of professionalism.

I spoke with him personally before this was released and he knew it was coming.

I think he's a good guy but it just didn't work out at this time. I wish him the very best in the future.

This is BS. You knew how he behaved while streaming. If you were THAT concerned about his streaming manners you would have spoken to him BEFORE offering him a contract. I think Complexity are the ones behaving unprofessionally here.

I agree with Destiny's decision. Being a pro-gamer with the goal of taking down big tournaments and being a pro-gamer who supports their family off of streaming seems like polar opposites to me.

In order to win big tournaments it's not wise to let your opponents see countless hours of your recent gameplay and in order to make a living off of streaming you must do just that.

I think Destiny could have done fine either way, but I think both coL and Destiny ended up with the best results for everyone involved. Still ROOTing (lul) for coL and still a fan of Destiny.

He told Minigun "kill yourself" on stream.

Anyways, I don't think any of the current known pro-gamers are really bm, it's all rather entertaining to me.
