I think Blizzard is looking at these GSL maps and trying to take some features that they want, while avoiding some. They are using destructible rocks to shrink a choke (like crevasse) in one map, and having an easy-to-take third that shares a choke with the natural, but has destructible rocks behind it (like terminus). They are just still hesitant to put bases with only 6 mineral patches and 1 geyser. I think they'll eventually have to cave on this, because having less profitable bases opens up possibilities for a lot more interesting maps. | ||

Imagine this; Slag pits, Delta Quadrant & Scrap Station out: Crevasse, Terminus and Dual Sight in. That would be such a great map pool, still some blizzard maps, and some maps that we actually see being played in freaking tournaments. | ||
