It looks like a lot but given how much and how awesome the content will be, I think its totally worth it, though I will have to buy the one with ads

I hope they come out with some package which ties in both the regular season of gsl with gstl, at a discounted price. Though I will probably buy both anyway, but it helps reward their loyal customers

It says right on the premium page. The event runs from June 23rd. 2011 all the way to October 7th, 2011. Three months of team league, two days a week. 24.99 / 3 = 8.33 per month, 40.00 / 3 = 13.3 per month. The event is exactly the same price as regular GSL events.

but its around 10 bucks a month for just the gstl
Its hardly too much in my opinion, and im certainly not rich

My internet is too slow for every HQ stream/premium stream, but thats pretty expensive for what you're getting imo.

I got laid off and so now I have to begin prioritizing my premium SC viewing. I love $25/3 months for NASL, keeping that. I also like the $10/month GSL regular season. Unfortunately that means not getting GSTL. I'm counting on you all to keep me up to date.

Sadness..
Time held me green and dying though I sang in my chains like the sea.

Ehh it's really expensive but since i can't watch live usually i guess i'll have to buy it.

GSTLs have always been awesome so it's worth it i think

I think you people need to realize you dont HAVE to purchase a ticket. You can still watch it live for FREE. If you cant do that, then tough fucking luck. Just dish out the 25 dollars. Its entirely worth it

I think the prices are fair. Leagues need sponsors to run so it only makes sense that they would show advertising. If it really bothers you that they show advertising then pay extra to get it removed. I mean how else can they make money to pay the players and turn a profit?

People will pay ridiculous amounts of money to get tickets to go see their favorite sporting events, concerts etc. I'm not saying starcraft is on that level but your getting a ton of games over 2+ months where as if you got a ticket to say the NHL playoffs you would be paying more money for one night of entertainment.

If you want a great league with lots of games and top players then you should be prepared to pay for it. Unfortunatly everything we want can't be free

Less than $10/month to watch what is easily the best Starcraft 2 tournament on the planet? Sounds like highway robbery to me.
I find your lack of faith disturbing

$15 in ads I'm paying for watching them or not and no increase in quality for a service that takes only 5 minutes work to remove ads? No dice.

If you went under the guideline that the old GSTL had a decent price... $5 for 4 days of starcraft... Now 2 and a half months at 2 days a week thats about 20-22 days of starcraft.

Pricing wise it seems "ok". However it's bundled in a way where much like the NASL, you might be paying for many flaky games. <.< Most notably till we get to the playoffs.

Too tired to come up with something witty.

It's true, a lot of the early rounds won't be as great-- but because of the nature of team leagues, one player can't just have a bunch of uninteresting games since he'll eventually be put up against the stronger players from the other team.

Its not completely about the efficiency of my money. I'm just legitimately not willing to part with 25 bucks easily, as i am 5.

+ its just team league, I care more for the GSl's Individual leagues. Hopefully when they release the price of those, its at a price i can't refuse.

Afraid given that this is only 2 days a week and GSl is 3 days its going to be more.

Edit: That the GSTL runs over 3 month period. As opposed to a 1 month period like i originally thought. Which at that rate i can justify that.

I thought if i was an Avid GSTL watcher i would end up having to pay 25, almost every month. Had that been the case i would have rejected.

Ah, seeing as you're 5, it would be difficult to part with 25 bucks easily.

As far as I know, individual league is going to follow the same pricing model. For team league, think of it as buying 6 for the price of 5; you're parting with 25 bucks but for much more than you would previously-- if you were already going to watch this many games over this period of time, it's the same; and watching live is still free.
