I totally understand why you'd feel that way but there is always the possibility ROOT would have died anyway and they couldn't have stayed together. There's always that side to consider too.

With catz post on his site it sounds like that was a strong possibilty. But also i dont think less teams is nessisarily a bad thing. That just means the teams that are around will have more money at their disposale which is a plus instead of 15 teams just making it by.(as long as those teams relize they need to invest in new talent or else the pool of players will stagnate)

Weird. Good for Complexity. However acquiring Root without Kiwi or Slush seems like they missed out on some of their better players.

funny to pick up root and not be able to make a deal with their 2 best players. dont see the point otherwise. catz drewbie destiny while great players arent top players that will compete to win any big tournaments in the near future.

i would think the point of getting root would be to get kaki and slush. kind of a success and failure for col all at the same time.

If Kiwis or Slushs wanted to go to Korea, they should try to join IM, instead of FXO. They said they are looking for a foreing to join them in the Artosis Interview. Imagine IMKiwikaki or IMSlush. That would be awesome. Imagine Slush learning from the master himself Nestea. I don't know any awesome protoss in IM's lineup but in that enviroment Kiwi would surely get much better, with the likes of MVP to train with. Now thats quite an adventure and I don't think its an easy one to commit to.

I really liked root, sorry to see them go. I don't like the 'col' tag, root is much better. Also I don't like Cruncher. So its all sad news for me. Complexity lineup was horrible with the exception of 2 players (Cruncher and Stalife). Now they have a solid team, but I can't convience myself just now to like them. Maybe I will change my mind...

Anyways, in this sad day I wish good luck to former Root members and their new team.

If the merger is whats able to keep the players who were in ROOT to keep playing then I don't see what the fuck you guys are bitching about. Did you care more about watching the players or just seeing the tag ROOT attached to their names?

It's a little bit more complicated than that to the fans and I don't see anyone really "bitching about" anything, it's a bit of a sad moment since it's the end of ROOT as an organization, but it's the start to essentially a new Complexity and it should be interesting to see how it goes from here.
