Yeah, July might roll through most brackets but he's out when he faces Naniwa. Heard it here first.

Jeez, this is no more special treatment than the GSTL letting in FXO into their team league without ever playing a single game in Korea or them giving away four Code A spots away for free when people like DongRaeGu and Bomber had to fight through tough qualifiers to get in.

Just like how GSL gave spots away and let FXO into their team team to get more foreign viewers, this will help MLG get a lot more Korean interest. If MC was in the open brackets, they wouldn't be able to see him play at all until the second day.

Have to try hard not to insult you, but you really don't have any idea what was going on with FXO & GSTL. GOM wanted a 10th team and there was no Korean team able to field a roster for the tournament. FXO was the ones that took the opportunity give to them, as it was FXO or no 10th team.

I think Hoseo can easily be the 10th team if FXO arent willing to go

They have like 3 players

They've got a full team, apparently, but HoSeo is actually a school/academy of some sort. Are they maybe skipping this one due to school break/time commitment? I can only guess, but it's not outside the realm of possibility.

Awesome, how cool would it be if someone like Tyler, IdrA, Select or Ret took this guy down. I don't think he is going to 4-0 that group of players, he has a lot of stuff working against him with the difficulty of his group as well as dealing with jet lag and the different way foreigners play. I hope that all of the players look at this as and opportunity and as long as they don't play scared they should be able to do very well.

They can't or won't, that's why FXO is in the tournament. FXOBoss specifically said that GOM sought out a 10th team when there wasn't going to be a Korean one.

I'm prett sure NHS is still playing. The official press release said GSTL would have 11 teams with FXO.

There's a number of players that can beat July. But it's almost impossible for July to meet Naniwa until Day 3. (July has no rank points from the open bracket, which means to end up in Pool A would require that all 26 players with rank points not win one of the Open Brackets, which is very unlikely to happen)

And, yeah, the field here is really, really fierce. We're short pretty much just a few Koreans & Euros from having everyone we'd want to see in the tournament. That's pretty damn good.

I love that its MC who is going but I cant se how this can be fair to all others in that group, changing a player so close to such a big event is just wrong imo, atleast they should have got one of the same race.

I think it's rather safe to say that the Koreans will manhandle most of the competition at mlg, mostly because of the semi-good foreigner lineup. There are a few real good ones, but Dreamhack Summer will be the true test for koreans against the very best foreigners.

Well there will still be about 9 foreigners I would give a chance winning this MLG (Demuslim, Thorzain, Morrow, Naniwa, Kiwikaki, Select, Idra, Sjow, Ret).
But overall you are right, Dreamhack (and Homestorycup to a lesser extend) will show how good the Koreans REALLY are when up against nearly every top foreigner.

Pretty sure MC is going to play in the Open Bracket.

Btw MC played in 2 foreign LAN tournaments and won them both. Will the guy continue his streak? :o

July going really exites me. I hope there will be some crazy replays from the open bracket.
How did they determine that MC replaces Bomber, MVP could have gone as well now, to keep the race the same. Also, why didn't Bomber just take another flight?

nvm: I didn't consider the visa issues and mc already has been to a couple of foreign tournaments.

Maybe we'll get that MC vs Tyler match now!

That would be so epic. I'd like to see how Tyler would exploit MC's "risky" play.
