4 usa

usa has idra, select, tyler, cruncher, qxc

It would be awesome to see a team league bo9 with these countries top 5 players.

Sweden though they don't have the most wins .. or at least i think so they are performing really well and since we're only 9 million people in Sweden we do have a lot of good players.. cs is even sicker when it comes to Swedes though :p

Ukraine Germany and of course Sweden

edit: neither usa nor canada could measure with the europeans i think
look at the results of tsl ukraine germany 2xSweden in the semis so ...
also you can look at the results of the nasl and tourneys like mlg ... (eventhough kivikaki went pretty far into dallas but other than that...)

Sweden > Ukraine > Germany > Canada > USA (without SeleCT)

China will be up there somewhere soon enough though.

Obviously the TSL is evoking all the Sweden responses, but the US really has a ton of strong players- Ukraine is also up there. Canada as well. It also depends on if you're looking at the top 2 or 3 players or where you could find like a really good 10 pro-players outside of Korea. That would almost certainly have to be the US.

Sweden probably the best, Ukraine/USA/Canada 2-4 probably in that order. Think IdrA gives US the edge over Canada, who have a slightly stronger top 5. Like many have said, it'd be awesome to see a world cup type tournament!

Must say sweden here
Thorzain, Sjow, Naniwa, Morrow, Sase, and a few more.
Ukraine is easy nr 2, and after that it is a cointoss tbh.

Probably the US, not because it has the best players, but because it has the largest population of the sc2 playing nations. You have to consider that IdrA can probably take out any non-US player, and there's plenty of other decent-ish US players to back him up.

In terms of player-skill per population, it's definately Sweden and Ukraine. Germany has to be fairly close after.

What does population size have to do with anything? USA has less players performing than Ukraine and Sweden. Idra can most certainly not beat any non-US player, in fact, his toughest opponents are non-us players (WhiteRa, Jinro, Naniwa to name a few).

Population size has quite a lot to do with it. If you were to play USA vs Sweden and keep going until one team can no longer field a decent player I'd be willing to bet that Sweden would run out of players before the USA. Sure, Sweden can probably field a better 4-5 player team, but if you kept throwing the USA GM players at them they'd eventually lose because beyond the top few players it's hard to name anybody capable of winning games at that level.

It's like comparing something like USA vs Jamaica in athletics. Sure, Jamaica has the biggest superstar with Usain Bolt, but the USA has such a huge number of medal winning athletes that you just have to say that they have a better lineup overall.

Of course it's all opinion and down to how you want to set restrictions. I'm simply saying that in terms of numbers of players capable of winning games, USA probably has more. If you're looking for the best 4-person team, it could be different.

First of all USA would probably lose anyway since naniwa/kas/whoever can probably solo 190 out of the 200 best players without dropping a game if they were allowed breaks etc. Secondly the topic says the best pro line-up so country population is actually irrelevant since US doesn't really have that many pro players for their size.
