Why would he be in diamond league and still trying to improve, if he didn't at least like the game? He also watches almost every tournament and keeps up on all the current news. I don't know why you think he's still here, but it's obvious to me that he cares about SC2.

this kind of drama doesnt bother me. i always turn itg off when it gets to user questions because 99% of them really are borderline insane. so i have to side with wheat with this kind of thing.

The new SD and HD videos versions of OMG's podcasts are showing up properly on iTunes. (Although there is a big chunk of the Sundance interview missing from the SD version of LO3's ep#104).
It's just the MP3 versions of ITG, WOC, and LO3 that have not been updated in the past 3 months. Which makes me a sad panda =(
I've been recording and posting links to the mp3s in this thread for the last few weeks. See http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=218946¤tpage=185#3693 for episode 32.

Saw the reaction of Wheat. He went just a tiny bit too far, but I understand his frustration. That caller was retarded.

They were much more worthy stories which they didnt talked or talked like 2 minutes.
Biggest story was of course King getting the GOLD, they spent maybe 1/5th of the time they spent on Demuslum. DRG demolishing everyone even though he arrived to NYC same day with the tournament. Huk was 3rd. Idra was being Idra. Artosis/Tasteless reaction to King's win. Naniva beating Nestea again.
They talked about some of this stuff for 20 seconds and some of them even didnt mentioned. Demuslim got half of the show.
This was like talking about an NBA team that couldn't reach playoffs but beaten Lakers during the regular season.
Ok, guy was kind of a jerk when he asked demuslim about his finish but apart from that I have seen nothing wrong in his language or question.
Wheat's reaction was shocking to me. Unnecessary, extreme. If a predominant sc2 person does this much BM, community will go over the roof . I felt like Wheat choose to do smt this extreme just not to answer the question. Guys, read this post.. this is what we have to deal with on a regular basis. He lists shit we spent a LOT of time talking about, as if we didn't mention it or spent 20 seconds. I personally made a huge issue out of half the things he said lol Anyone/everyone can post on the internet. Why is it those who should have the least to say typically say the most and with the most conviction? sigh A LOT of you need to calm down. It's funny watching people get upset at wheat for being passionate and then going overboard with their complaints making them "just as bad."
Demuslum: 18 minutes Biggest story was of course King getting the GOLD: 6 minutes DRG demolishing everyone even though he arrived to NYC same day with the tournament: seconds... Huk was 3rd: 3 minutes Idra was being Idra: seconds... Artosis/Tasteless reaction to King's win: none Naniva beating Nestea again: 6 minutes
So, "Demuslum beating nestea" > "whole MLG"
I wasn't expecting this type of MLG coverage in "Inside the game".

The other main question to ask though is did they have MKP, DRG, HuK, IdrA, Tastosis, Naniwa or NesTea ON THE PROGRAM?

Why are the episodes not uploaded yet on the website onemoregame.tv? I'm trying to download in mp3 format so i can listen to it but I can't find it, anyone know where I can? Thanks.

People are trying to find drama everywhere. geez.
I love the show, i loved yesterday episode. Keep the good work.
|
I always turn off before user questions as almost everyone who calls in either asks something unbelievably stupid, something asked every single week or something which has nothing at all to do with the show.
Also when a show has Wheat and Incontrol as the main anchors you know it will be absurdly foreigner biased (as the caller said 5x more time spent talking about Demuslim winning one bo3 2-1 which Nestea completely threw away, than focusing on the actual winners MKP and DRG).
They also completely dodged Huk's bracket luck. We all knew they would because DJ Wheat is all fluff these days but it was still quite funny seeing them try and convince themselves that Huk didn't have by far the easiest bracket of anyone in the top 16. You can only beat who you are paired vs but every normal fan knows Huk got extremely lucky to end up 3rd when guys like Naniwa, Parting, Oz and Violet had a harder run for a much lower finish.

The caller went about things in a retarded way, but if his point was "why are we making such a huge deal about a guy who had one big upset victory and finished 9th" then I completely agree.
|
Why do people care so much if Wheat went over the top? I thought it was fun Sometimes, the best way of dealing with silly opinions is through ridicule. And it's not like Wheat tracked this Rapture guy down and showed up at his house or anything, the caller called Inside the Game. I don't see the downside of people being aware that stupid opinions don't always get treated with respect and cuddly feelings. You asked a stupid question, now listen as Wheat brings the pain!

Hey, you are making sense. Totally unfair and out of line!
In the future they should have one on the show act the part of the person they are talking about, that way we can get some answers and more time on the subject.

Go make your own show, then you'll realize how stupid your comments are.

Well, incontrols are passive aggressive, Idras are just plain aggressive. But they do still offer interesting insight to pro gaming from the other side and I do enjoy reading them.

djWHEAT, Y U NO UPLOAD MP3's TO ITUNES?!
Haha seriously though, I'm grateful for the dude that is manually ripping and uploading the MP3's but it's so much easier to get them from iTunes on my phone (unfortunately the only time I can listen to the show is in my car to/from work).

imo wheat went way overboard, but shit happens when you party nacked... love you all guys!
