Why would Raynor be shooting then? he wouldn't want to hurt kerrigan. And Nova said begin your sweep, which could mean patrol, which would mean its her facility or "scanner sweeping" Raynors facility to find kerrigan. Hmmm...

Begin your sweep most likely means to search the entire facility or whatever the place is they are at. I'm guessing Raynor is knowing what's up, so he hides Sarah somewhere. Sarah realizes wtf's up and knows where a Ghost uniform is being kept (probably Kerrigan's old uniform and I would assume Raynor kept it as a memorabilia) and she breaks out of where she is being held and puts on her old uniform to defend herself against Nova because she doesn't want to be captured or killed.
That's my guess.

Kerrigan hadn't an old uniform. Or do you think the Zerg undressed here before taking here away?

Yeah id have to agree with that. A sweep by a group of guys is just pretty much exploring the area and clearing each room

Maybe they took it off when the Overmind infested her and discarded it, since it'll be useless to her and Raynor found it. I don't know the lore though.

Well it was nice to see something but damn they didnt show us much.
|
if she broke into a ghost facility , she probably was looking for sth more important than a suit..
|
The suit allows for cloaking afaik. I imagine it would be needed to escape.
|
The teaser gave me the impression not that Kerrigan was breaking in but that Raynor was trying to bust her out. I would guess that they were psychically mining Kerrigan for as much information as they could get about the zerg (maybe Heart of the Swarm is playing through Kerrigan's memories -- much like the Zeratul missions?).
I'm surprised the video is still up. Can't wait for official announcements (which is apparently very soon).

Argh this wait is killing me, hopefully a site that went to the press release accidentally publishes their info a few days early.
Also I sure hope HotS doesn't revolve completely around kerrigan and raynor this is the ZERG expansion damnit
|
Seems like Kerigan escaped from Raynor's ship because she's not fully human, she's part Zerg now. Nova probably planted a bug on Raynor's ship and followed.

On May 29 2011 13:07 Sandro wrote: Also I sure hope HotS doesn't revolve completely around kerrigan and raynor this is the ZERG expansion damnit Zerg never had a whole lot of strong story characters besides Kerrigan. it was always Kerrigan, the terrans and the protoss. Even the overmind wasn't really a character. They have to focus on the main characters, because they will span the plot of the 3 games.

infested kerrigan in starcraft 1 could cloak, so that isn't held up in the lore. It's possible her de-infested state has robbed her of that native power, but I think it's far more likely that kerrigan was wearing the suit when she went in, and there's something else important in the place.

Here is my take on what the teaser shows.
Nova leads an attack aboard the Hyperion along with whats left of the the Dominion Ghost Force. (Remember Nova is in fact on the ship, last time we see her before the last battle of WoL). Their objective - capture Kerrigan. She is still unconscious at the time at the medical wing, as events happen shortly after she was un-infested. Jim Raynor fights through the atackers to reach the med bay first and is super surprised to see Kerrigan up and about(strongly suggested by his voice).
What happens next? Hyperion gets blown to bits, Raynor goes MIA almost the entire game, and Kerrigan is left on a desert planet, almost powerless, to slowly rebuild the Zerg and reclaim her position as Queen of Blades.
Everything I said is probably not true.

See, now I'm imagining a bunch of hydras trying to tenderly disrobe her with their big blade arms as she blushes and sighs ever so gently.
You're to blame. : (

WHy not? It would make me happy to be a zerg again. Get rid of raynor... have kerrigan fight to take back her rightful place as queen bitch of the universe... just as she did in broodwar!

Well she probably underwent a huge transformation from one of the most potent psionic beings in the whole galaxy/universe to just another terran ghost.
The closest example would be like Super Saiyan 3 Goku going back to his "over 9000" era.
That's gotta mess with your mind.

Blizzard teasers are, generally, made using ingame footage. It's always been this way for WoW, and I assume it's going to be that way for SC2 as well.
Honestly, the in-game shit is super annoying for the people who doesn't have a top notch computer that can run at the highest graphic settings... I enjoyed the SC:BW videos a lot more than SC2 as it just looked so bad on low graphics. It is ignorant as fuck to make videos that are only worthwhile for a portion of the customers whereas the rest of us are stuck with terrible cinematics that really doesn't create any form of 'hype' or 'awesomeness' that the CGI trailers can make.
WoL was one of the shittiest games blizzard ever made in relation to their use of CGI, especially as the only CGI that was present was like 2-3 short videoes. (they were awesome though, but still sub-par comparing to the awesomeness of SC:BW cinematics that really spiced up the whole campaign - seeing in-game cinematics just feel 'wrong' somehow)
EDIT: I really don't mind in-game cinematics that much as long as everyone can watch it in high quality, so WHY NOT RENDER (Record) IT? Rendering (Recording and playing) it instead of playing it through the game itself will result in the highest possible graphics for everyone, instead of offering a different product depending on your computer specs. Unacceptable imo.
